ZWILLING BOB KRAMER MEIJI
Those who see cooking, not just as a means to an end, but as a real art, will love the works of art from this knife series.
The blade is twice put through the ice-hardening process and then highly polished, making it extremely hard and durable. It consists of a hard core made from FC61 steel, which is then encased in 100 layers of two differing types of special steel. Every blade features a one-of-a-kind Damascus pattern created in a highly-sophisticated process, making for a series of distinctive knives. Highly-polished Damascus steel knives with an etched ladder pattern, designed by Bob Kramer.
The blade is rounded and polished so as to avoid injury when using it to chop and cut. Traditional 3-stage craftsmanship and a 15° angle on each side.
The bolster is the point where the handle meets the blade and serves to create optimal balance for a comfortable cutting action. It means that you can use the entire blade when cutting your food. The premium pakkawood handle is the perfect accompaniment to the blade in terms of both aesthetics and functionality. The material is hard-wearing and holds its shape extremely well, ensuring an optimally-balanced knife. The traditional Japanese D-shape also ensures optimal balance, as well as making it easy for the user to stay in control and effortlessly make use of any cutting technique.
