The Dutch Oven originated from the northern Italian tradition of “paiolo di ghisa”, in which dishes such as meat and vegetable stews or polenta were prepared in cast-iron cauldrons over an open fire.
You can also cook on an open fire with our Dutch Oven – but what is probably more interesting for you is that it is also suitable for all types of hobs, including induction. Several factors ensure ideal cooking results with the induction Dutch Oven. First, there is the cast iron. This material has particularly good heat conduction and distribution. Cast iron makes dishes particularly flavourful and gives them a distinctive roasted aroma – also ideal for slow cooking.
In addition, the Dutch Oven has a lid with a drop structure. This special structure of the lid enables a very even distribution of moisture, enhancing your dishes with particularly good taste and a delicate consistency. The Dutch Oven has a particularly scratch-proof enamel coating and is dishwasher-safe and suitable for ovens up to 240°c.
The design of the Dutch Oven comes from the Milan star designers Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez and, in combination with the intense red colour and the matt gold knob with the BALLARINI logo, makes it a real eye-catcher when serving.
