The oval cocotte in basil green combines innovative technology with traditional durability. This cast iron cookware from STAUB’s La cocotte range has an enamel coating for perfect heat storage. Enamelled cast iron also ensures smooth transfer of heat. The cocotte is suitable for gas and electric cookers, as well as induction cookers. With a diameter of 31 cm, the cocotte holds 5.5 litres. The robust base material of cast iron with high-quality enamel also maintains low temperatures of the food so the pot can be stored in the refrigerator. Also, the cooking properties of the enamel improve with use. The special properties of the cocotte will help you in the slow and gentle preparation of meat, fish and vegetable dishes. In addition to functional, tough processing the shape will impress with its traditional looks, rounded off with a shiny silver knob on the lid. The inside of the dish in matt black enamel is versatile and easy to care for. Easy handling make the cookware suitable for both novice and more experienced cooks. With this cocotte you will be able to slow cook recipes in which the natural, intense flavours of the ingredients are preserved.
