This is especially important with frying pans to achieve the best results: Use uncoated stainless steel pans for high-temperature frying, such as searing unbreaded meat. Coated pans are ideal for gentle, low-fat cooking. For low-temperature vegetable frying, ceramic-coated pans are recommended.

Tip for spatulas, cooking spoons, and more: Only use kitchen utensils made of wood or silicone in coated cookware like pans or pots to protect the coating.

Caring for and Heating Cookware Properly

When cleaning, allow cookware to cool down first—especially glass lids, which may crack due to temperature shock.
