Additional Information

The Nakiri knife’s flat profile and squared off tip is specifically designed for working with vegetables. Ideal for slicing, mincing, chopping and prepping all types of vegetables.

The premium cutlery pioneer ZWILLING J.A. Henckels has been crafting notable knives since 1731. Respected as an innovator in the industry, the company remains true to its roots: a strong commitment to quality and excellence.

ZWILLING Gourmet is the go-to knife for home chefs eager for their everyday knife to be exceptional. The single-piece, precision-stamped blade construction is lighter than forged knives, allowing for maximum maneuverability.

Proudly crafted in Germany, the knives are made of special-formula steel that has been perfected for over 285 years. Combined with our signature ice-hardening technique, the blades are harder, sharper, they will not stain or chip and they retain their sharpness longer.

The ergonomic, triple-riveted handle ensures fatigue-free cutting. Experience the comfort, durability, and sharpness of ZWILLING Gourmet.

  • Special formula high carbon NO STAIN steel
  • Precision-stamped from a single-piece of solid steel
  • Ice-hardened FRIODUR blade starts sharper, stays sharper longer, and has superior resilience
  • Precision-honed blade and laser-controllededge ensure ideal cutting angle for sharpness and durability
  • Traditional three-riveted handle with a full tang provides maximum comfort and stability while cutting
  • Highly durable POM handle has stainless steel rivets that balance blade and handle perfectly
  • Center rivet is laser inscribed with ZWILLING logo
  • Manufactured in Germany

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Regarding person who thought this "hurt her hand" - I have a Shun nakiri, this one, and a Chinese carbon steel one from my mother. I thought the rounded Shun handle would be more comfortable, but the Zwilling handle is actually more to my liking. Also, the Shun has more "heft" but I like the Zwilling better. Finally, both the Shun and Zwilling (and many knives today, I've noted) are sharp on the back of the blade, so if you switch to style of cutting where you grab the blade itself, it does get uncomfortable. I've taken a fine sanding disk to both sides of the top back edge of the blade and that's solved it. And what a deal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice alternative to my chef's knife I've have the nakiri for a couple of days now. I own the twin gourmet 8" chef's knife, and a Victorinox 8-inch chef's knife too. This knife is crazy Sharp. It's life's the block of pecorino Romano cheese fairly easily. I used it on an assortment of vegetables. I really like the knife. I also like how the blade has a lot of areas so I can scoop up what I just chopped easily, sort of like using a dough scraper. Like I said, I've only had the knife a few days. I don't find it uncomfortable to use. I generally use the pinch grip. And have had no issues thus far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hurts hand I have some of the Henkel(cheaper version on zwilling) knives and one zwilling. My cheaper knives hurt my hand bc the handles aren’t polished very well. The metal cuts me. Anyway, I bought this one thinking I was getting a great deal. A superior knife for the cheaper price. Unfortunately, it’s the same handle as my cheaper knives and the handle immediately cut into my handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent knife I was looking for a good knife in this kind of shape for a long time, and I am glad I buy this! I started use this knife right after I received it, very sharp even without sharpening, light weight. Now I use it every single day. My favorite knife ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for cutting veggies I got the Nakiri for my food enthusiast boyfriend who has used it for any and all veggie prep since he opened it on Christmas. He says it is super comfortable to use, very sharp, and easy to scoop up the cut food.
