The Fresh & Save La Mer vacuum containers are designed to work with the vacuum pump to keep food fresh up to five times longer than non-vacuum storage. Featuring a beautiful sea-inspired design, this long, shallow, rectangular container is ideal for easy storage of casseroles and other baked meals in the refrigerator and freezer. It’s also handy for marinating meat.

These modern, blue-accented glass containers are made of high-quality borosilicate glass. They are oven-safe up to 356°F, microwave safe so you can re-heat your food directly in the container, and dishwasher-safe for fuss-free cleaning. With a beautiful blue accent on the lids, these containers are designed to look as good as they work. They transition straight from the kitchen to the dining table.

With the Fresh & Save system, you can shop once a week and refrigerate or freeze fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and fish in our vacuum containers and bags and enjoy the benefits of your own fresh market at home. Prepare your meals days in advance and enjoy them as fresh as the day they were cooked. Cook meat sous vide or marinate meat for the grill in just 30 minutes in the vacuum bags and containers.

Have been able to keep my sliced fresh ham in the larger glass container for a lot longer than in a plastic bag. The quality of Zwilling products, (I only use the glass) is excellent. Wish I could afford a few more containers, but use what I have all the time. There is always fresh cheese or cooked meats, etc, for several containers. Am now finding that one of these glass containers is a great place to keep fresh nuts for my Christmas baking. The nuts don't get soft or rancid. Marie Marcuzzo

The larger size holds enough pasta sauce to last home most of a week, the vacuum seal ensures that it stays fresh for that long, and the glass container is easier to clean and therefore more sanitary. Before we started using these, his food would not last as long, so these are MUCH better I like them so much that I’ve started buying them for my own use. The only drawback is that the lid is not that easy to clean. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars!

I'm looking for a size to keep: sliced cheese sliced meat, ie...sliced beef bacon slices They need to be large enough but not real deep, not over 2 1/2 inches tall. Does your measurement include the cover on the dish?

Yes, it is advisable to leave about ½ inch to 1 inch of space at the top of the container to allow the lid to sit properly and to prevent the container contents from coming into contact with the valve.
