I love this color, it is so cheery and bright, always makes me happy to pull it out and have it on my stove. I love all of the cocottes because they have superior browing and frying capabilities and nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan. I love the spikes on the underside of the lids that continually baste your food whether in the oven or on top of the stove for a long braise. I take the cocottes straight from the oven or stove to the table for serving so I can spread that cheer that this color brings. Cleaning is easy as well and I never need to use more than a plastic mesh scrubber to get it nice and clean.

This size is great for soups, deep frying, braising, pot pie, just everything a pot can do.
It is manageable to ensure dish is perfectly cook and it is light for its small is good to serve up to 4 people.

Makes cooking more enjoyable
My first experiences were cooking with the cast iron cocotte that I received as a gift. I’ve since expanded with various pieces of cast iron and ceramic. My favorite piece is the large grill pan for grilling steaks, artisan sausages and many types of vegetables. Each Staub piece is made individually with its own lid to ensure a perfect fit. Staub does not make spare/replacement cast iron lids.
