The grain and color of the black ash contrasts with the damascus of the blade. The handle is crafted in a traditional "D" shape, providing optimal ergonomics for fatigue-free cutting in the kitchen.Handcrafted in Seki, Japan.

Love These Knives!I recently purchased two Miyabi chef’s knives—one 9.5 inch and one 8 inch—and I couldn’t be happier with them. The craftsmanship is absolutely stunning, and the blades are incredibly sharp right out of the box. They glide through everything from vegetables to meat with such ease, it actually makes prepping food enjoyable.
The 9.5 inch knife is perfect for larger tasks, while the 8 inch feels a bit more versatile for everyday use. Both have a great balance and feel super comfortable in hand. I also love the elegant design—these knives are not only functional but beautiful too.
Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys cooking and appreciates quality tools in the kitchen!

Sharpest knife I have ever used in the kitchen.Cosmetically the knife was not evenly polished on both sides. I would except more from this high end of a knife. Otherwise, I have no other complaints. It was sharpened evenly.

Excellent attention and presentationI loved the product being so elegant firs of all, not mentioning the prettiest black stone handle I've ever seen. On the other hand, is sharp from the box, keeps a good balance on my hands and it doesn't make my wrists hurt like other knifes. WowThis knife is not only beautiful, but razor sharp, and holds an edge for a long time. Love the longer length blades. Great for chopping large quantities of vegetable, and also slices razor thin sashimi. This knife is extremely versatile and can be used for a large variety of functions in the kitchen. Very unique, finally a knife I don't already own.
