Description
The 15-piece knife block set is stocked with all the tools you need to easily tackle your kitchen tasks. The set includes the all-rounder chef's knife, which is perfect for chopping herbs and dicing onions and a bread knife that cleanly slices through crusty sourdough. Efficiently mince garlic or slice vegetables with the hollow edge santokus, featuring a blade that has small indentations, known as grantons, that prevent food from sticking while cutting.
Fabricated from durable, high-quality stainless steel, Statement's single-piece, stamped blade construction is lighter than forged knives. Along with the full tang, this encourages maximum maneuverability. The traditional triple-rivet handles are curved for comfort and balance while the stainless-steel endcap adds aesthetic appeal.

Good for a two-cook household
I like this set because it comes with two cook's knives - the 8-inch chef's and the 7-inch santoku. These two knives mean that everyone gets a good knife to use in the kitchen and the work can be divvied up evenly. The fact that it comes wit 6 steak knives is just a bonus.
The Statement line is a very distinctive, and very popular around the world. Stamped from high quality German steel, they are durable and will maintain their sharpness with normal care. These full tang knives feature an steel cap at feel secure in most hands. The curve at the end of the handle is comfortable for larger hands. These knives are a very good value.

Get the basics covered
Good value. I like any set that comes with two cook's knives - the 8-inch chef and a 7-inch santoku. The next two knives most folks need are a paring knife and a bread knife. This set covers it then! Plus it comes with 6 steak knives. You are ready to cook.

Great Knives!
I am so glad that I bought these knives! I have been wanting them for years and my husband finally got them for me! Quality made, sharp and feel great in my hand. I have nerve damage and sometimes lose my grip but these have made cutting a breeze for me. I love them!

High Quality Knives
I bought these knives for my boyfriend because I was given a set of Henckels knives 25 years ago and they are still sharp as ever (without sharpening). They are awesome knives. I would buy them over and over.

The Henckels Statement 15-PC, Knife Block Set has everything the amateur chef needs. After researching several knife sets, I chose these and was not disappointed. I love the fact this set comes with 2 hollow-edge Santoku knives plus everything needed for preparing appetizers to creating full course meals. Great Introduction to the World of Great Knives
This set has the most used knives in the kitchen included in the set, which is a nice added benefit of this block set. The knives are designed with the user in mind, with ergonomic handles. We use our knives daily and this feature means your wrist will not become fatigued as it can with lesser quality knives. The knives are sharp due to the high carbon steel used, and very corrosion resistant, which means cutting, slicing, dicing, are done without effort and you can put in the dishwasher, but it is recommended to hand wash.

The rivets are the same German (carbon) steel formula as the tang and blade.

We purchased this set, the box and instructions were thrown away. My question is about cleaning, are all the pieces of this set dishwasher safe?
From a Zwilling Rep on a previous question: Yes, these knives are dishwasher safe, however we recommend hand washing. Dishwashers can damage the edges, even leading to chips, and harsh detergents can degrade the steel over time. Loose knives can also damage other items in the dishwasher.

Just bought the 13 piece block set. There is one empty space. My block is a black one. My knives were: 3.5" paring 7" Santoku 8" chefs 8" bread 6 x 4.5"steak shears Steel Any advice would be great
That is correct (the piece count includes the block, for a total of 13). We normally leave extra slots in our block sets to allow storage for cutlery you may already own or others that you may want to add in the future.

Hi I love this set (JA Henckels Int'l Statement), but am also interested in purchasing an 8" carving knife - In this same style, but cannot find one. Do you make an 8"carving know in this style?
We do make a carving knife in the Statement series, though it is only available as a part of a carving set (knife and fork). Item 13551-002.
