J.A. Henckels International Graphite 7-inch Hollow Edge Santoku Knife is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good. Very Cool. With its very modern sleek design, this line of all metal knives is very good. The quality of the steel, the workmanship of the fully forged blades with integrated bolster makes the knife comfortable and easy to work with whether you’re cooking for one or prepping for a banquet. These knives are well worth the money. This santoku knife, it comes in two sizes, is a terrific chopping knife. Designed to go to work on vegetables, it can slice meat with equal ease. The hollow divots reduce friction and allow food to slip away easily. I prefer the 7-inch because I have the length to cut through larger foods.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really like my santoku and use it as much as I use my chef knife in the kitchen. If you have not used a santoku, you can use it on meat, poultry and vegetables, and the hollowed out edge, called grantons, creates an air pocket keeping the food from sticking to the blade. I like the wider blade on the santoku and use it to scoop up what i have just chopped to transfer to the pan for cooking or sauteing. The handle is ergonomic and very comfortable, which means fatigue-free slicing, dicing and chopping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chops, slice and glide knife! This Zwilling International Graphite 7" Santoku knife has no difference at all from Chef knifes functionality however it varies on cutting motion and contour individual chef preferences. This design is most likely Asian style knife, it is better for chopping motion and will also glide as it chops. It is a versatile knife, great for exploring cooks. Indention on the blade called hollow edge, this creates barrier between the steel and the food prevents food from sticking to the blade. It is fully-forged bolster forged blade, high quality German steel and excellent durability and well balance. Blades satin-finished blade produces precision cuts and is honed for long-lasting sharpness. Rounded almost D-shaped satin-finished handle contoured for comfort in my hand while cutting food and it is gorgeous with stainless steel end cap stamped logo for finishing touch and stability of this knife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a nice way to get a quality forged knife at a more value price point. The full stainless handle feels really light and is brushed so it has a nice grip. It is also super easy to wash and keep clean. The Santoku is a great knife for chopping vegetables and the hollow air pockets help to prevent food from sticking to the blade as you slice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Execellent Chopper Great santoku with a very sharp blade that will holds its edge really well. It's forged construction makes for great weight and balance; really nice feel in the hand. The santoku is an Asian blade style designed to chop fruits and vegetables perfectly. The hollow edge or "dimples" create an air pocket which helps food release from the blade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Santoku with a hollow edge blade so food won't stick. A satin-finish with a blade that is 1/2 serrated and has a full bolster. The endcap is a nice touch on the end of the handle, along with a slight curve so it fits nicely in your hand and gives a good grip. the graphite color is a beautiful touch, especially for modern kitchens of today.
