With the compact skimming spoon from the BALLARINI Rosso range, gnocchi, vegetables and co. can be removed from the cooking water and suspended matter, egg white or fat can also be removed from stews, soups or sauces thanks to the practical holes in the spoon. The trendy kitchen gadgetin contrast to its big `sister´, the skimming ladle is also `perfettamente´ suited for stirring creamy dishes such as risotto. Its cooking qualities reflect `grande qualità´: The skimming spoon is made from food safe, high quality silicone, which is particularly gentle on pots and pans with non stick coating. So your cookware is protected from scratches. Heat resistant up to 230 °C, the material is also handily dishwasher safe. We all know that we eat with our eyes and the excellent design builds your appetite even while you are cooking. The shape and colour were designed by renowned Milan-based studio Matteo Thun Antonio Rodriguez. A hanging hole on the ergonomic handle ensures that the skimming spoon doesn't have to be hidden in a drawer after use, but can have a place of honour on your kitchen rail.

Great for deep frying fish balls and dumpling, meatballs, and etc. This skimmer is ideally suited for all Zwilling non-stick cookware such as Ballarini, Motion, Alu Pro, and including ceramic coated pots and pans to mention is the Clad CFX. It can be used for stainless steel cookware as well as cast iron and a ceramic bakeware helper. It is made from high quality, food-safe and high-temperature resistance silicone and dishwasher safe, handwashing is highly recommended.

I really like the volume of the skimming ladle, but there are times that it's just a little too big. If you are accustomed to using a spoon to strain things out, you will like this one. Well made, deep enough bowl, good drainage. Heat resistant to 450-degrees, and dishwasher safe. But if you love the deep black, hand wash.

Excellent construction with long, sturdy handles perfect for any cookware, but especially gentle on your non-stick. The black is sleek and contemporary but they also are available in a bright red. Every kitchen needs a slotted spoon! It's perfect for removing pasta from boiling water or use it on the table to serve green beans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best for skimming that 'stuff' that floats Very good tool for getting that 'stuff' that floats to the top of the pot when you are making bone broth. The shallow bowl grabs the 'scum' and holds it during transfer to a bowl or the sink. I like this spoon, but really like the ladle. I can use it to pull food out of hot oil or boiling water. This spoon will do that but just in small volume. Heat resistant to 450-degrees F; washes up nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skimming spoons are helpful when you need to remove the top layer of fat because the broad flat spoon are with holes allow you to skim the fat without removing broth. This spoon is part of a full collection of Ballarini Rosso utensils...check out all of them if you'd like your utensils to match in a crock or hanging in your kitchen. The silicone cleans up nicely and doesn't stain.

The silicone made skimming spoon makes for easy cleaning and for safely scraping food off of your cookware pieces, especially if they are nonstick. With the red color, it’s easy to spot in an utensil crock or to add a pop of color in your kitchen.

Spoon serves to skim fats from sauces and gravies, or to remove boiled pastas such as tortellini and ravioli from boiling water. high heat tolerant spoon can also be used as a serving spoon when needed to scoop vegetables from liquid.
