A unique curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip, with thumb and index finger on the blade, for safe cutting and less fatigue. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegantly Sharp This is the knife to bring to the table for the Thanksgiving turkey or the Holiday roast. It is long, it stays sharp and it feel very good in palm of your hand. Nothing is better than to be able to pull your knife through a perfectly cooked piece of meat and with one smooth stroke serve a thick piece or thin. This knife will do that because it stays sharp. And it stays sharp because it so well made, starting from the steel. It is one of Zwilling's best steels. It holds its edge. So when the family is gathered, and you're about to carve, you can be confident that you've got the best knife in hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty & Sharpness! This Pro 10" carving knife is great for my hand, just the right size. This carving knife size will cut large food despite it is slightly thin blade, and ergonomic. Comfortable, balanced size will quickly become the go-to knife for daily tasks. This knife will slice through large chunk of meat, vegetables, and even delicate big piece of fruits like Cantaloupe or watermelon. It's the most easiest to sharpen for it's half bolster, nothing gets in the way no matter what you sharpened it either stone or machine.

The special formula stainless steel of the Pro will have lasting durability and sharpness, so you never worry about the blade sawing through your food. Also with the curved bolster, you can grip your slicer knife with ease and comfort. A great alternative to the 8” carving knife, if you are looking for a longer blade that will be great to slice through more surface and not require as many slices like a smaller blade would need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the extra length on this carving knife. It can get through the biggest turkey or prime rib with ease. Pro knives are made from German Special Formula Steel and forged from one piece of steel so durable for a lifetime. The bolster is curved and perfect to hold with pinch grip. The knives are also ice hardened which translates to the blade starting sharp and staying sharper longer. I ordered an additional one so holiday carving would be covered.

I use it for turkey, ham or beef roasts but I also love the way it thinly slices my grilled fajita meat and I always pull it out for birthday cakes too! Each Christmas I make a large baked Alaska and this slices through the frozen ice cream easily. The sturdy forged bolster makes it feel strong while slicing.

The slight rise in the bolster make for a comfortable and professional grip. the blade is long, lean and sharp. Perfect for slicing all roasts and larger vegetables. I use this for perfect watermelon and Honeydew slices. Comfortable grip with a classic three rivet design.

In the past I used the 8" version, but I decided to get the longer version this time and am glad I did. This knife is perfect for slicing large cakes with ease. No more having to make shorter cuts because the cake swallows your knife. This one does the job in one clean motion.

Hi! I am Chef and I am interested to buy some basic knives from Henckel. I have a question about this one, is this flexible? Because I need fish filleting knife but like this one... I do not like the similar boning knife

I just bought the 9pc zwilling pro set with block. Will this 10" inch slicing knife sit into the block. The block came with an 8" inch carving and bread knife. Since the slicing knife blade is 2" longer, I am not sure it will fit in the block.

What is the material of the handle?

The ZWILLING Pro series handle is made from POM, a very durable poly resin that won't discolor and will last as long as the knife.

What is the difference between a carving knife and a slicing knife?  Do you make a 10 inch carving set, if so please send a link, looking for the pro s series.  do you make a fork, or a set of this 10 inch slicing knife

Generally speaking, under 9" is a carving knife and over 9" is a slicing knife, even though they often have similar blade shapes. A carving knife, being shorter, has more maneuverability to work around bones a other obstructions. A slicer with a longer blade makes it easier to slice large, stationary items without obstructions. We do not currently include slicers in any sets, and we generally only make a single size of carving fork in each line.
