This 8-piece knife block set features an essential set of high-quality tools to set your kitchen up right. Create garnishes and peel vegetables with the paring knife, achieve precise results in-hand and on a cutting board with the prep knife, and chop herbs, dice onions, and mince garlic with the all-rounder chef’s knife.
The self-sharpening technology boasts built-in ceramic honing wheels that automatically sharpen when knives are stored or removed. This set is completed with kitchen shears and is housed in a handsome 15-slot self-sharpening knife block.
Four Star knives are made of proprietary special formula steel that has been perfected for almost 300 years. Combined with ZWILLING’s signature ice-hardening technique, these FRIODUR blades are harder, sharper, they will not stain or chip, and they retain their sharpness longer. Precision forged from a single piece of steel, the SIGMAFORGE knives have an exceptionally sturdy, balanced, and flexible blade.

New knife set after 25 years
My old knife set was showing it's age and needed replacement. I went with the same brand (Zwilling) and am really pleased with the high quality of sharpening on these blades. The built-in sharpeners haven't seen a lot of use so far but always produce a clean sharp edge ready to use. No dragging of the blade edge while cutting and trimming meats and chicken They are truly a pleasure to prep my meals.

Awesome and awesomely beautiful set
Beauty and quality all in one set. This is a great set of lifetime quality knives. This set has all the knives you could want to prepare some awesome meals. There are four of the best most popular prep knives and the two most useful serrated knives. Enough so that you can work with friends and family in the kitchen and everyone will be using a great knife.
There’s a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still looks almost new.

Quality product
The product is far superior to our old Chicago knife set. Although we have only had it for 3 days, we are very pleased with the cutting ability of the knives and their self-sharpening feature. Only regret is we could not order this set with some knives we normally use.

A cut above (pun intended)
These knives are extraordinary. The slef-sharpening mechanism is discrete and effective. I have used these knives daily for the last three months, and they are as good as new. Hand wash them and dry immediately.

Great Gift
We brought this on sale as a Christmas gift for our son. He loves it and is very happy to have a "good" set of knifes. I have had these same knifes for over 30 years and they are still great.
