ZWILLING no-size Four Stage Knife Sharpener With Shear Sharpener black is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 1365.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from No instructions - no guidance - no video I have high dollar knives but don’t dare using them on this sharpener because it came in a box (unsealed?) with no instructions whatsoever! And while I watched a brief demo at a Costco outlet, I don’t remember - and also would like to see in print how to use this device. - Obviously it is clear that the “Asian Side” is for “Asian knives” - but what angle does it sharpen in? - same for “Standard”! Then in which order do I use it? Coarse/fine? -or ….Fine/Coarse? How many times should I pull the knife through? 5-10-15? For a product with such stellar reputation - very disappointing! - Lying in my drawer, and I may just return it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good design except for one thing The most important aspect of a knife sharpener is if it does what it’s supposed to do, which is to sharpen knives. This sharpener does perform on that account. The second aspect, at least for me, is if the sharpener is designed with longevity in mind, which this falls short. When you apply pressure while pulling the knife through the ceramic discs, the tip will hit the red plastic base. Over time this will score the plastic and quite possibly dull the tip of the knife. I think the design team would have noticed this design flaw had they put the sharpener through a test run themselves. Meanwhile, I am forced to be very careful not to slice through the sharpener.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect tool to keep your knifes sharp! This sharpener in well thought out and as with all Zwilling products, the engineering is amazing! Easy to use with right or left hand, the ceramic rods seem to be indestructible. I really like the scissors option for my household fiskars and other cheaper pairs. I would never put my Zwilling shears in this sharpener as they are self sharpening. Now if only there was a way to keep my serrated blades as sharp as easily as the rest of my block! I have used the electric Chef Pro, a Lansky system, and a quick sharpening Fiskars ceramic tool. This Zwilling 5-in-1 Knife and Scissors Sharoener is the best performing and easiest sharpener to use I have ever encountered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This tool is amazing! I use this product to sharpen my knifes. And it work really well so be careful with your knives once you use this tool :) What i love about Zwilling is the amazing costumer service support! The representstivr at Costco explained me everything in detail! And 2 knives i am using broked from the top i just call the ustomer service and they took the knives back and they gave another one. That’s amazing! William Sonoma brand knives of mine broke again, they did nothing. So Zwilling brand products may seem y expensive but it totally worth it! Thank u for this amazing support!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5-in-1 Knife and Scissor Sharpener I like the box design. It looks very professional, like a lot of products from Central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, etc.). I do not like the fact that it came without instructions. Do I run the knife in both directions? Do I hold the knife at an angle? How many times do I run the knife?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Instructions Received for a Christmas gift but box has absolutely no instructions on how to properly use the sharpener. Zwilling please email or contact me with instructions. How many times should I pull knives through each slot?, do you do coarse slot then fine slot?, do you hold knife vertical or on an angle to the left or right when pulling through the slot?, etc. Also, directions on how to sharpen scissors. Thank you

I have used this to sharpen the “ZWILLING PRO 38417-180 (7) 22ZG50” I bought about two years ago. Is there a functional lifespan on the 5-in-1 knife and scissor sharpener? Also do I need to send the knife out for resharpening in addition to the sharpener

Asked by: Alangray71
Thank you for your question! The Zwilling Four Stage Knife Sharpener With Shear Sharpener is designed for long-term use and, with proper care, can last for many years. While there isn’t a strict functional lifespan, the sharpening slots may wear slightly over time depending on frequency of use. You do not need to send your knives out for professional sharpening if you are maintaining them with this sharpener, as it is designed to restore and maintain the edges of both Western-style and Santoku/Asian-style blades. For serrated knives or knives with significant damage, professional sharpening through a service such as our Knife Aid service is recommended to fully restore the edge. If you have any other questions, our customer service team at hello@zwillingus.com will be happy to assist.

Since you indicate that this sharpener cannot be used for serrated blades, is there a different sharpener that can do so, or do they need to be sent in for sharpening?

Asked by: loveisageless
Great question! Serrated blades require a very specific type of sharpening that most manual or electric sharpeners aren’t designed to handle. At this time, Zwilling does not offer a sharpener suitable for serrated knives. There are specialized machines specifically designed to sharpen serrated edges, which is why we recommend sending serrated knives to a professional sharpening service for the best results. The good news is that serrated knives stay sharp much longer than straight-edge knives and don’t require frequent sharpening. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our customer service team at [hellp@zwillingus.com]. Any of our representatives will be happy to assist!

I bought the ZWILLING BOB KRAMER MEIJI 10-inch, Chef's knife and the ZWILLING BOB KRAMER MEIJI 5-inch Utility Knife. Will this be able to easily sharpen those knives? I've been told that to sharpen the knife you need to keep a 9.5-12° angle.
