Description
The 8-inch chef’s knife is a reliable, all-rounder knife, perfect for almost every kitchen task. Chop herbs, dice onions, and mince garlic with this workhorse blade in the kitchen.
Kramer Carbon 2.0 is Master Bladesmith Bob Kramer’s latest evolution in knife design. With a redesigned blade shape from bolster to tip, the Kramer Carbon 2.0 collection offers improved weight distribution and balance for more efficient cutting. Each knife features a new hand-shaped Micarta handle that is robust and sturdy and exceptionally hygienic. The handle design features stunning brass rivets and a Bob Kramer mosaic pin.
Bob's design has an extremely wide blade to maximize knuckle clearance for larger hands and for cutting through large produce and piles of food. Chopped food can easily be transported with this impressive, broad blade. A material nearly lost to the home kitchen, straight carbon steel requires knowledge and care to maintain. In return, owners will be rewarded with a sharpness and keenness of edge that only straight carbon can deliver. Hand-finished with a 3-step process by the most skilled Japanese artisans, these knives boast impressive sharpness.

Knife is perfect but...Decided to order directly from Zwilling, and then find out that knife was slightly used(Will attach some photos). I wish it could have more quality control, because it looks like somebody was cleaning knife from patina and also some knife has some scratches on some handle parts . Overall quality is nice, knife is sharp and balanced well.

Great steel, great customer service, great knife!I sharpen hundreds of knives a year and was blown away with the 52100 steel while repairing a chef's damaged blade. After getting a nice discount from Zwilling, I purchased one. The reason for a 4 star quality rating is because one side of the micarta handle had fit and finish issues. I expect more quality control for a knife this expensive. However, a phone call and email picture sent to customer service immediately yielded a return shipping label and I had a flawless replacement blade in a week. Nice. The 4 star value rating is solely based on price. The steel is the nicest I've had the pleasure to work on and takes an absolute razor edge. Top notch in every way. You won't be disappointed.

Worth it!This knife is absolutely the sharpest knife I've ever owned. While I'm relatively new to higher end knives this is a great entry point because it has the feel of a Western/German knife with almost all the precision and sharpness of a Japanese knife. Carbon steel is absolutely more work, but the patina is beautiful. If you've been thinking about getting it for awhile, this is your sign to go for it!

Worth every penny! This is my favorite carbon steel knive!! The fit and finish is second to none! I loved this knife so much o bought nearly every carbon 2.0 knife in the line and will complete the collection. I have tried a few other knives and have to go back to these the superior edge retention and quality finish on these knives is exactly what you would expect from a top dollar knife.
