Rated 5 out of 5 by CookinginCali from So versatile; i find so many uses. I find so many uses for this size bowl that they are constantly being washed and put away, then used again. Great for starter portions of soup, I use mine mostly for prep when I am baking or making an ingredient intense recipe. It holds salts, sliced lemons, roasted nuts and a scoop (or two) of ice cream. Because it can take the heat, they have been used for baked dips and desserts when the occasion called for it. They are great on a buffet for condiments too. The bright finish of the ceramic makes them shine at the table.

This would be a nice countertop fruit bowl, or even just a decorative piece, Branding on all sides makes it a bit fancy. Very sturdy and the quality I expect from Staub. I only hand wash to keep the beautiful shiny cherry finish top-notch! Highly Recommend the Entire line of these bowls for serving, mixing and prep, I even ordered more small bowls with the current sale, hooray!

I’ve used it as a small mixing bowl, for ramen, for cereal, for soups, you name it. It goes in the fridge, the microwave, the freezer, the dishwasher. I had other bowls this size but they had a bad finish that led to their demise so I was looking for something to replace them and had been looking for years. When I saw these, I thought I would try them and I’m delighted. They’re tough and they’re pretty, and they’re a perfect all around bowl.

What is bowl capacity in oz?  Would these be good for French onion soup? Thank you.

This bowl is approximately 20 fluid ounces, so it may be a little large for French onion soup. It is, however, broiler safe (all of our ceramics are).
