Not just for tea
Every Staub piece is beautifully enameled which makes it very chip resistant and a piece that will be passed down from generation to generation. The black interior is enameled also so you don't have to season it, plus it won't chip, peel or stain.
Cast iron is a great way to ensure you have a hot cup of tea because it hold its temperature for so long. But this tea pot can be used for so much more than tea. Because of how well it holds heat, I love using it to serve gravy for family meals. No worries of it cooling down. I think it would also be awesome for serving soup.

Bottom of pot disintegrating after few months
This pot was seemed great at first, but after a few months of use the bottom of the pot began disintegrating. Didn’t think that was possible with this material, certainly not with such little use. To make matters worse, I only realized what was happening after taking a big gulp of tea with fragments in it. Furious.

Beautiful, high quality but small
Have admired this piece for some time, finally treated myself. As anticipated, it keep water hot for a long time, clean and superb styling, super high quality construction and finish. But really could be substantially bigger, double capacity. As it is you get only about 2-3 standard mugs full of tea, then need to boil new water all over again

Always on hand
My wife is an avid tea drinker and wanted an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time. I purchased Staub because of its heritage and It has not left our stovetop in over a year. I will say that the handles are loose so when you go to open the lid make sure you do not do it over glass.

I love the quality of this and that it made of a non-leaching non-toxic material! We use it for water mostly, though it can be used for soups. Wish there was a "steam whitsle" that could attach to let you know when the water is boiling.

MAKE BRASS HARDWARE!
The kettle is excellent my lads, but the cheap nickel hardware- moans of agony. Just imaging the richness these jewel toned kettles would simply rejoice to the eye of only the knob and handles were a golden brass!!! Long have I hoped and searched for replacement hardware but alas, I suppose I am the only one who desires brass instead of this clanging cold nickel.

Great work horse (3-4 x daily)
I use this tea kettle 3-4 times daily. The kettle heats up very quickly (especially on induction ranges) easily supporting 2 tall tea cups of 12 oz (350 ml) each. This tea kettle is very distinctive and charming, but its VERY functional. To properly use the Tea Kettle, boil the water until a steady stream of steam vents from the spout. Fill your tea cups (1 or 2 ). Immediately after pouring the water, remove the top lid and place it on a Trivet or counter (its still cool enough to grab lid with hand). Then pour any surplus water into sink (with lid off). The cast iron kettle is still very hot ... any remaining water drops will evaporate from the heat.
Voila - no clean up or pot holders needed.
Please use your Staub Tea Kettle, its design to be used, it’s a workhorse.

loved but I can't remove rust on rim
I loved this kettle and only use it for heating water for tea. Unfortunately the inner rim has developed a rust I cannot remove. It's such a shame as it was very expensive and an investment piece.. .

Would I be able to change out the nickel steel knob for one of the brass replacement knobs that you sell separately? And if so, which size knob would I need to get? Thank you.
Our knobs are interchangeable. You would choose the large brass knob. It may appear that the large brass knob is not available at this time, however, we are updating our site today to reflect our current inventory. Please email us at info@zwillingus.com if you have any further questions.
