Since it’s enameled cast iron, you don’t have to worry about seasoning it. Just like the bigger cocottes, the lid on this mini saucepan has the self-basting dimples to help keep your food or sauces inside the saucepan from drying out. This is the mini I use for lobster and crab cocktail. As you would expect, it will hear quickly and evenly and stay hot longer. The long handle is a bonus. Excellent pot!!

I've been asked if our fondue set cocotte will ever comes with the handle set. It's good to know that this is available online and will be spreading words about it. Staub cocotte comes in variety of colors, they are all beautiful! This mini cocotte is perfect single serve dish, ideal for making single servings of hearty soups or savory stews, desserts, bread, grains and decorative in your kitchen when not in used. Does this mini come in different colors? Can it boil an egg?

Our .25 mini cocotte wouldn't fully cover the egg in boiling water. However, our mini cocotte is exceptional for mini personal frittatas, breakfast frittata muffins and so much more. Happy Cooking!
