Gnocchi can be removed easily from the water after boiling, or vegetables after blanching. Egg white, suspended matter or fat can simply be skimmed off stews, soups or sauces using the skimming ladle. Say `arrivederci´ to scratches on non stick pots and pans, as the flexible material is gentle on your cookware. It is made from food safe, high quality silicone and is heat resistant up to 230 °C. The ergonomically shaped handle sits comfortably and securely in the hand, even in heated situations at the cooker. There is also a useful hanging hole at the end so the skimming ladle is always on hand on your kitchen rail. Dishwasher safe? `Sì, claro.´ This makes cleaning much easier. Likeable kitchen tool!!!
This skimming ladle is also excellent for scoping solid food, which will allow draining liquid and oil. Great for deep frying fish balls and dumpling, meatballs, fish and vegetables tempura, and etc. This skimmer is ideally suited for all Zwilling non-stick cookware such as Ballarini, Motion, Alu Pro, and including ceramic coated pots and pans to mention is the Clad CFX. It can be used for stainless steel cookware as well as cast iron and a ceramic bakeware helper. It is made from high quality, food-safe and high-temperature resistance silicone and dishwasher safe, handwashing is highly recommended.

Skims and scoops
I use these perforated ladles mostly when i deep fry. They get any wayward bits out of my hot oil and it will scoop out a large quantity of food all at one. This silicone skimmer is heat resistant to 450-degrees F so it works on all my deep frying (325-375-degrees) very well. I use it also to pull vegetables and other pieces out of blanching water; and I use to skim the 'stuff' that floats to the top of my bone broths. I couldn't live without my skimmer.

This is a handy tool when you need to skim fat solids off the top of your food without loosing the broth and juices below. As part of the Ballarinin Rosso utensil collection it is made of a bright red silicone. I encourage you to check out all the pieces of the collection in case you want to have several to match in a crock on your counter or hang from the handy hanging hole in the handle These clean up nicely and don't stain. They are easy on all your cookware including nonstick surfaces.

More Than a Skimmer
I have several Ballarini Rosso utensils and really like them. They have little flexibility which keeps everything you skim on the ladle. My other skimmers are too flexible and everything falls off the ladle. Made out of silicone it can withstand temperatures up to 500F. And its dishwasher safe too. Not mess here.

I like that this does not slip in your hand. Often when skimming or fishing food out of boiling water, the steam collects on the spoon as you are holding it over the boing water, which can make it a slippery mess. This does not happen with the silicone spoon and it does not scratch my pans, which makes me happy!

Nice silicone skimming ladle
Great tool to use for deep frying, gnocchi pasta, etc. especially since it will drain excess water, grease back into the pot. The silicone makes for easy cleaning and safe scraping along the sides and bottom of your cookware, in particular if the cookware is nonstick.
