TWIN Signature knives are precision stamped from a single piece of special formula stainless steel, resulting in lighter weight knives. Combined with ZWILLING’s signature ice-hardening technique, these FRIODUR® blades will stay sharper, longer. To ensure an ideal cutting angle, the sharp laser-controlled edge is finely honed and hand-finished. The ergonomic, triple-rivet handle embedded with the ZWILLING logo provides durability and balance. And these dishwasher-safe, German-made knives are conveniently easy to clean.

Much like a meat cleaver this knife has a broad blade with a blunt end designed to chop large and firm vegetables with ease. A cleaver's design allows you to slice through to the cutting board without using a push and pull motion. The Twin Signature series has a unique curved handle that fits nicely into your hand and the full tang of steel that runs through to the end of the handle will give this knife a sturdy feel at the bolster even though it is stamped and not forged. A stamped knife has a lighter feel in the hand and with a super sharp edge you won't experience any cutting fatigue.

Lightweight and versatileI have many J.A. Henckels knives and sets. My Chinese meat cleaver finally gave out and chipped after almost 20 years. I decided to try this one. The price was not cheap but, knowing I have other products from them, I trusted it would be another quality product. And, so far, it is holding up well for cutting watermelon, meat, chicken, slicing veggies.
I hope it lasts for 20 years too!

Clever CleaverPerfect blade for chopping through stalky greens and slicing piles of vegetables. Wide blade can be used to transfer food items from board to bowl or pan. German stamped blade with good weight and a comfortable contoured handle.

Best cleaved I've ever hadThe cleaver was very sharp upon receiving it. For the size of it, it is very light. The blade is thick and does not bend easily. It is also ergonomically friendly.

light and comfortableGreat blade for chopping lots of produce and meats for stir frys and other preparations. I like this blade because its lighter than most cleavers. It's easy to use and hold.
