I think its great that Zwilling offers replacement leather for the strop block. I have to admit that mine wore and I was happy to be able to replace just the leather and not the whole block. Stroping is such a great way to add the final polish to a newly sharpened knife edge.

Perfect Replacement
The leather stropping block is the perfect way to finish knife sharpening. It puts on a fine polish that makes the blade incredibly sharp. Unfortunately, if done incorrectly, you can cut into the leather. This is the "fix" if that happens.

So Sharp
Remember the old barber shops that would sharpen their straight edge blade for shaving on a leather strap? This is the same concept. By finishing your sharpening on a leather strap the blade will end up razor sharp.

Great to use for sharpened knives
The Leather strap is a great piece to have in your sharpening stone kits because it really polishes up your newly sharpened knives, that way there is no excess steel particles leftover from sharpening your knife.
