Sharpening on a stone is the number one sharpening technique chosen by culinary professionals. It will give you the ultimate control and precision over the edge you give your knife. With the proper technique, your knives will end up with the ultimate edge.

The stone’s firm but porous structure continuously releases small particles during the sharpening process. This powder combined with water makes your knife remarkably sharp. The bamboo wood sharpening stand keeps the stone in place during use.

Conventional stones need to be soaked in water for at least 12 hours, but ZWILLING stones just need to be kept wet with minimal water during use. The ZWILLING Stone features a coarse and a fine side for reshaping the cutting edge and polishing the edge.

ZWILLING Kramer Accessories no-size Glass Water Stone Sharpening Set no-color is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultimate Knife Sharpening Kit Maintaining your good knives is a labor of love and this kit contains the 3 essential stones to do just that. The sink bridge is such an awesome addition to this set. As you will discover, sharpening can be a bit messy, but now it's all contained in your sink to rinse away easily. There is definitely a learning curve, but that's what Bob Kramer's DVD is for. Sharpening my knives is quite enjoyable now, even a bit therapeutic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny Yes, they are not as inexpensive as most stones out there, but that is for a reason. The second you touch your blades to the stones you can tell the difference. These are truly exceptional and you won't be disappointed. The 5000 grit stones is so smooth, yet you can see the metal coming off when using it. The wooden bridge/holder is well made and does not shift or move when using it. I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I ordered this set since My knife store is closed due to covid. it arrived yesterday and after watching the video today and getting the feel of the bridge, I am ready to start learning how to sharpen my own knives! It will save me money in the long run because my knife guy is fantastic but NOT cheap! When I opened it, my husband told me I was "a bit crazy but go have at it..." After watching the video with me he wants to try learning too. Something we can do together during this shelter in place situation!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistent. Convenient. Functional. This set is exactly what I needed to bring the edge back to my decades old Henckels. I needed larger sharpening stones for my kitchen knives, versus the smaller stones I use for my pocket knives, and this set doesn't dissapoint. I purchased the 10,000 grit stone as well (highly recommended), and the results are exactly as expected...a straight, razor sharp, mirror finished edge (need to 10,000 to get the best mirror finish). The included DVD is helpful regarding the use of these particular stones, which are synthetic. I especially like the sink bridge idea, and quickly found that I throughly enjoy the convenience. I actually leave the water on a very, very low trickle while sharpening and work the stone and knife while quickly clearing the stone of particulates. The trick is keeping a consistent angle over the entire edge, but practice make perfect, and as the video recommends, "incorporate blade touchup as part of your daily cleanup." Needless to say, you can't go wrong with this set. Well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp Collection Make and keep your knives sharp with this perfect kit. The sink bridge adjusts to fit different size sinks and can be used vertically or horizontally. Enclosed whetstones allow for edge repair, fine sharpening, and finishing/polishing. Includes DVD to make even the most inexperienced sharpener feel confident.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything You Need This really is everything you’ll need to sharpen your knives at home. The multiple grit stones allow you to get a very fine edge on your knives, and the sink bridge allows easy access to water. Getting the cleaning stone is important since it can make sure you’re sharpening stones stay at an even level after a few uses. Bob Kramer is the expert on knives, so it’s very helpful to get a video from him on how to use the stones.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 95% there the sharpening stones and the material that the holder is made from could rate 5 stars, but the adjustable bolt/ wingnut hardware used is inadequate to hold the stones securely or to set or hold an adjustment when over a sink. with a little re-engineering and a hardware upgrade, it should be quite useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time and patience That is what you will need to learn this new skill of sharpening with a stone set! With the help of this great B Kramer CD and more youtube info, I am learning to sharpen my knives with some help and practice! This is a fun activity and great for a Saturday/Sunday afternoon when you have time. I love the over-the-sink feature and am becoming more comfortable with its use.

Is there an attachment I can purchase that will hold the knives at the proper angle when sharpening? I know I cannot do this manually.

Asked by: Jim135
Thank you for your question! While we don’t currently offer an attachment specifically designed to hold the knives at a fixed angle during sharpening, we recommend using a sharpening guide or angle guide that’s compatible with water stones. These can help you maintain a consistent angle if you’re still getting comfortable sharpening manually. Our Zwilling Kramer Glass Water Stone Sharpening Set is designed for precision sharpening and can work beautifully with such guides. Just be sure to select one that matches your knife’s intended sharpening angle (typically around 15° per side). If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our customer service team at hello@zwillingus.com, any of our associates will be happy to help!

Anything I should know about regarding storage? For example, can I stack the stones on top of one another?

Asked by: ZZ624
Great question! For the ZWILLING Kramer Accessories Knife Sharpening Set, it’s important to store the sharpening stones properly to maintain their performance and prevent damage. Avoid stacking the stones directly on top of one another, especially when they’re wet or damp, as this can lead to chipping or uneven wear. Instead, let each stone dry completely before storing, and if possible, keep them in a protective case or wrap them in a soft cloth to prevent contact. Also, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or temperature extremes to prevent warping or cracking over time. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team at hello@zwillingus.com.

I have both Western and Asian Henckles & Zwilling Pro Knives. How do I ensure the proper angle when sharpening?

Asked by: JimS135
Hi, Zwilling or Henckels, are sharpened to 15 degrees on each side of the blade for western knives. And 10 degrees each side for Asian knives, such as the Santoku blades or Kudamono Paring Knives. We hope this helps!

Hi guys! Should these stones be soaked in the water for a couple minutes, or they are the "splash and go" kind? I mean, just let it getting wet superficially? Thank you!

Asked by: viniciusfts
The stones do not need soaking. Just spread a layer of water over the surface immediately before use, and add more as needed to keep the stone lubricated during sharpening.
