Large But Zippers Fail - Items Not As Pictured
I purchased the starter set and loved the smaller bags and the vacuum. I ordered the Large set for storing packs of meat in the freezer. 1) The bags I received were large but the zippers are clear not black as pictured. 2) Air seal held but on two bags the zippers tore when opening the bags. By tearing I mean they zipper didn't come apart at the teeth but instead the top portion of the bag with the zipper came apart from the rest of the bag. What I have done with the remaining large bags in the freezer is to run my fingers back and forth on the zipper to warm it up before opening it. I haven't had this problem with using the smaller bags with black zippers in the freezer.

Solid engineering, better than competition, pricey
Valve and design and reliability of seal are great, could be thicker gauge. Each package of (expensive) bags includes a crimper tool and a clever device to make sealing bags with liquids less problematic than other brands. In general a better implementation than most, and the large size bags are large enough for a lasagna pan to fit. Over all the cost is the only real limiting factor, though they are said to be dishwasher safe. By the way, the somewhat less costly (and less well made, with worse seals) FreshSaver bags all work fine with the Zwinning pump, better in fact than with a FreshSaver device.

Money Saving Kitchen Accessory
We spend so much money to get the freshest and best produce available. The Fresh and Save pump helps me keep everything fresh so much longer than traditional storage.
The pump has a rechargeable battery that will hold its charge for up to two months. It uses a standard micro usb charger. (not included) Order a 14 pack of resealable bags and you'll be on your way to long lasting fruits, vegetables, meats and cheese. It's also great for marinating chicken or beef. There's also a wine sealer you can order that reseals the bottle keeping it as fresh as when it's first opened. So many more containers, both glass and plastic will be available soon.

Vacuum Sealing Convenience!
Technology these days never fails to impress and this handheld vacuum sealer is no exception. It's lightweight, sturdy, and does the job quick locking in all the freshness in whatever foods you need.
It works for Raw food, Cooked food, frozen fruits, soup and more. The Zwilling Vacuum Seal bags are washable, they keep a tight seal and every bag has a unique QR code that allows you to scan each bag and set expiration dates for each individual bag. It's fantastic and I highly recommend this to anybody that meal preps, Sous Vide, or if you just want to lock in the freshness for your foods as long as possible, buy this product!

Lower product expectations
Despite using the attachments specifically for liquids, the pump still inhaled the death of it. No response from “customer service” many hours after reporting. Might have to write this one off to experience.

Great Concept. Poor Quality (Storage Bags)
I have been using this system for a couple of years now. Great concept. The glass storage containers are nice. However, the storage bags are going to be the most expensive one or two use bags you will ever buy. I've used three large storage bags for storing blueberries we picked. Two of the three bags ripped at the ziplock area. The third hasn't because we have not got to that one yet. I thought the first may have been a fluke, but it is not. Zwilling does not stand behind their bags either. I've contacted support and they will not replace, so I would not recommend their storage bags at this price.

Zwilling Vacuum Pump
I purchased the product after a demonstration at Costco by “Anna”. I just brought a bunch of greens for thanksgiving, blanched them a vacuumed packed them for freezing. Easy Breazy. The Pump is fabulous and I loved that it takes up no real estate on my counters in my tiny kitchen.

Love using this vacuum pump!
This is such a great tool to incorporate in saving my food and keeping it fresh! I have always been so bad about trying to keep leftovers, produce fresh, and then things expire or go bad. I have seen such a huge difference now with using this set. The pump is so small and really easy to store in my small kitchen. The pump does a great job of taking out the air in the containers, bags and wine sealer in this collection. The battery is rechargeable which is nice and has a good charge on it. It also is pretty quiet when using, and you don’t have to hold it down, just press the button and it does the rest. This is something everyone needs to get and incorporate in their daily food prep and saving.

My vacuum is working but why does it not shut off anymore?

Does the machine suck up liquids in foods? Does this create a problem with keeping the machine running and clean? (as it does with another brand.)

How can you tell when the red button on the bag is fully pressed and bag is fully vacuum sealed? I don’t see or feel a difference and am not sure what to look out for.

When using the Zwilling Fresh and Save vacuum bags, you’ll know the bag is fully vacuum sealed when the red button remains flat and does not pop back up after releasing the vacuum pump. You might not feel a significant difference when pressing the button, but key indicators include the red button staying depressed, the bag appearing tight around the contents with little to no air pockets, and a slight change in the vacuum sound as it finishes sealing. If you’re unsure, you can gently press around the seal area—if there are no air gaps or looseness, the bag is properly sealed. We hope this information helps! How do I use the clip that came in my starter set? The manual doesn't address its use!
Hi Our Fresh & Save Bags feature easy zip closure. In our manual on page 8 the
Bags can be easily closed with the included zipper. Slide it sideways onto the bag and move it across to close the bag. Then stroke your finger with a little pressure over the sealing strip to ensure that the bag is properly closed. To open the bags, pull the sealing bar apart with your hands. We hope this helps! What is the difference between the two different vacuum pump designs? Which design is the most reliable and less prone to failure from fluids entering pump?
Hi, both Fresh & Save Pumps work exactly same to seal in freshness at the press of a button. The La Mer has a modern, sea-inspired design with a blue accent.
