This 6-piece knife block set boasts a slimline profile, ideal for smaller kitchens and apartment living. The 7-inch chef’s knife is perfect for everyday kitchen tasks like chopping leafy greens and dicing onions. The 4-inch paring knife is ideal for detailed, in-hand work, while the 5.5-inch prep knife is great for both prepping in-hand or on a cutting board.

The easy-to-use, pull through sharpener will sharpen even the dullest blades. With coarse and fine ceramic slots, you can sharpen your knives with the coarse grit, then hone with the fine grit. The knives are stored in a handsome 6-slot knife block.

This set has 7" Chef, 5" serrated utility knife and 4" paring knife and 2-stage pull through sharpener to maintain and keep knives sharpened. These are all primary essentials for young cook from cutting small fruits to vegetables and to a larger food, meat to cut. Block set is slim and doesn't take big space on counter top, modern and compact block set for a small kitchen. One great thing is, knives are dishwasher safe.

And if you use the 2-stage sharpener regularly, you'll probably never have to worry that your knives are dull. The Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work. These knives have all the features of world class knives, because they are - world class knives. Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still looks almost new.

The knives are on the lighter side, which is great if you are cutting for long extended periods of time, or if you need a light knife for arthritis, etc.. The studio block set is a great all essential set, with a block that doesn’t take up much room on any countertop. This set also includes a sharpener, great for bringing the edge back on your knives, and easy to use.

Made from specially formulated steel they will hold their sharp edge use after use and resist corroding. I like this little block set for small spaces or starter kitchen. It holds three of the handiest knife profiles including one serrated which is necessary for citrus, tomatoes, sandwiches and bread. The shears and knife sharpener are great accessories to have.

The serrated knife is great for tomatoes and citrus. The chefs knife takes care of the rest. The German forged steel blades are very strong and sharp. They stay sharp for a long time and are easy to maintain. The handles are very comfortable to hold. The sharpener keeps them at their best and is easy to store in a drawer.

She comments all the time how sharp they are and what a difference a good knife makes. She lives alone, in a small condo, so this set takes up little counter space and the 3 knives included are perfect for any task. The sharpener included is huge, because I doubt she had one so she certainly wouldn't sharpen her knives without it.

What kind of block comes with this set, hardwood or bamboo, & # of slots? With steak knife slots or no? Can you post a photo of it? Also, do you sell just the hardwood blocks, and if so, how much is the 16-slot that has the six steak knife places?
