Best knives ever
I just love my Henckels knives set. I brought it several years ago and they are still amazing. Just the right grip and weight. The sharpness is exceptional. Unfortunately my 4 inch paring knife went missing (think it got thrown out by accident) so purchased a replacement. Still the same quality on these 4 star knives. Nothing cuts like they do. I worked for a large casino for awhile and because everyone loved my knives, I had to get my initials engraved on all the blades in my set so no one could walk away with them. It worked and I always went home with all my lovely knives otherwise they would walk away. Nothing like Henckels, I recommend them highly.

Fantastic knives
We first bought the 4" paring knives in the late 1970's. Due to losses over the years, we recently found it necessary to purchase some replacements. What a delight when we opened the parcel. The knives look exactly like the ones we bought 40 years ago. Best of all, the quality of the product is still outstanding. The knives cut so easily and are very comfortable in the hand. In a world where quality and service seem to be a thing of the past we thank you so very much for maintaining your high standards.

Best knife in drawer!
This knife is the most used in my kitchen! It stays super sharp and I use it to slice and dice all salad veggies, make sandwiches, open plastic wraps and containers, probably everything your not supposed to do with a fine knife like this - but it's utility is phenomenal! Should have bought two - but I am trying to upgrade my whole drawer of knives to Zwilling/Henckels! Love them all!

I’ve been using “major retailer special” knives. We’ve talked about investing in good knives but couldn’t convince ourselves to pay as much for 1 knife as a whole knife block from a store. But wow the difference! It feels so much more substantial and cuts like a dream! Knowing what I know now, I’d rather only own a single good knife and have to wash it constantly to use it again than have a whole block worth of mediocre knives. We diced a Roma tomato in tiny perfect pieces without a single missed cut or large piece or juicy smoosh mess.

Lifetime Tool
Finally purchased a forever knife! Broke down and spent just a little bit more, for a knife I will never have to replace! Love the comfortable grip on the handle, as well as the bolster which makes it feel so much safer than my previous stamped knife.
The knife is made in Germany and it is high carbon steel, which checked several boxes for me. It also is dishwasher safe, so I no longer have to worry if my kids put it in the dishwasher when I am not home.
Perfect for paring and slicing pounds of potatoes, which I do almost weekly. Don't know how I survived without this little guy.

3" Broken Knofe
Got a set of 4-star was a wedding gift almost 30 years ago. Since then I have gone thru 3 of these knives. Tips broke off. Local store replaced one but went out of business. Though the knives in general are great, these are prone to break. I get them professionally sharpen every other year and would recommend any of the knife as they last.

This style is dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing to preserve the beauty and prolong the lifespan of your cutlery.

We bought our original Four Star knives in 1987. We just replaced the 4" paring knife and see that the blade is slightly shorter (3 7/8"), slightly thinner, and the bevel at the base of the blade is steeper. Did you alter the design or not as you say?
This item has not changed since 1976. Perhaps, one or the other of your paring knives was a Four Star II design, which is designed to be lighter and more flexible.
