Good design except for one thing
The most important aspect of a knife sharpener is if it does what it’s supposed to do, which is to sharpen knives. This sharpener does perform on that account. The second aspect, at least for me, is if the sharpener is designed with longevity in mind, which this falls short. When you apply pressure while pulling the knife through the ceramic discs, the tip will hit the red plastic base. Over time this will score the plastic and quite possibly dull the tip of the knife. I think the design team would have noticed this design flaw had they put the sharpener through a test run themselves. Meanwhile, I am forced to be very careful not to slice through the sharpener.

Excellent
This tool is amazing! I use this product to sharpen my knifes. And it work really well so be careful with your knives once you use this tool :)
What i love about Zwilling is the amazing costumer service support! The representstivr at Costco explained me everything in detail! And 2 knives i am using broked from the top i just call the ustomer service and they took the knives back and they gave another one. That’s amazing! William Sonoma brand knives of mine broke again, they did nothing. So Zwilling brand products may seem y expensive but it totally worth it! Thank u for this amazing support!

5-in-1 Knife and Scissor Sharpener
I like the box design. It looks very professional, like a lot of products from Central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, etc.).
I do not like the fact that it came without instructions. Do I run the knife in both directions? Do I hold the knife at an angle? How many times do I run the knife?

Wow! My knives are nice & sharp!
I didn’t realize what a difference a good sharpener can make. This one is powerful, simple and easy to use, and now my knives cut vegetables like butter. I am so glad I got this sharpener.

Replacing another brand
Zwilling was having a special event at my local Costco and this sharpener caught my eye. I own another brand's sharpener with a spinning stone setup that was well reviewed but did not work for me and my German-made knives. I brought this one home and immediately sharpened my most-used (dullest) knives. I wouldn't go far as saying it went back to a factory edge but it was a significant improvement from the prior sharpener and really gave the knives a great edge again.

So easy
Bought the Zwilling knife sharpener at Costco. A friendly, very knowledgeable representative demonstrated how to use it. Got home & tried it on my 6 dull knives. I’m amazed at the difference after using this sharpener. I’ve used similar sharpeners but none of them worked, I thought it was the operator (me). There’s a world of difference between tis Zwilling sharpener and my old ones. I’m over 70 & I’ve never been able to sharpen my own knives until now. Happy customer.

Amazing multipurpose knife sharpener
I got this to replace the pocket sharpener I've been using for years. While this Zwilling won't work on serrated, it's been outstanding with everything else. Here are my favorite parts:
+ Ceramic (vs steel) sharpeners won't rust or need to be oild
+ Dedicated option for scissors
+ I can use the Asian (10°) grind for box cutters and other utility blades which normally don't do well with the standard (15° grind).
+ Ergonomics make it easy and comfortable to use

How do I tell the difference between a standard knife and an Asian knife. Which angle do I use for my knife on the sharpener?
Hi, Western Asian knives are called Santoku's and our Miyabi Japanese series all have a 9.5° to 12° edge angle.
