Excited...then disappointed
I haven’t yet reached out to service about this so will update my review once done and I hear back from them.
The kettle came quickly and is a beautiful piece of kitchen hardware. Seemed very high quality and was excited to use it for the first time.
Got it set up in and ready to go, clicked it on for the first time and made a pot of tea.
Then I looked inside the kettle again...and this is the disappointed part. The stainless inside looks beautiful, but there is one part that is already rusting. Looks like it is the temp sensor or ???
Hopefully they will stand behind their product and we can get this resolved quickly.

Quality construction made to last.
Big 1.5 liter capacity fills my biggest teapot with water to spare. The kettle heats water quickly and multiple temperature settings means I always have the right temperature for whatever kind of tea I brew. Solid, high quality design and construction and seamless stainless steel interior and exterior makes me hope the kettle will last many years. Two tiny complaints: seating the kettle on the base is a little fiddly. It takes a bit of moving around to seat the round pot on the rectangular base's charging stem. Second, the lid release button and lid latch are a little stiff and require more pressure than expected. Probably not a problem for bigger hands.

Great Kettle
This is a big improvement over the Breville iQ pure I had before. The double hulled stainless container keeps the water hotter longer. All parts of the lid that come in contact with the water (including the screen) are metal. The preset temp choices have more range 140/160/175/194/212. The middle three on the Breville (195/200/205) are too close together to be meaningful and the low is only 175. The cord is a little on the short side which can be good or bad depending on where you put it, but it’s not a big deal. Best of all, it comes with a 5 year warranty. The Breville was only one, and mine conked out after 2 years. The Zwilling is an improvement in every way!!!

Misleading Videos and Photos + burnt stains
1. Control panel is in Fahrenheit and not in Celsius as in the product photos.
2. Control lights are actually a cut out numbers/icons on a white layer backed by a light and the cut out isn’t very straight (see photos). Not a big deal but was unexpected.
3. Burnt stains appeared after first use. I used tap water. Not sure if this is normal or a defect (see photos)
Other than that, looks very nice.

Great kettle...while it lasts
I purchased this product in November 2020 from Williams Sonoma due to its temperature control functionality and sleek design. The kettle stopped working as of August 2021, less than one years after purchase. As some other reviewers had mentioned, the temperature probe on the bottom inside of the kettle had developed a small rust stain within the first month of use. I decided to keep using the kettle because the rust was minimal and isolated to the temperature probe. With the exception of the rust on the temperature probe, I had a great experience using this kettle with almost daily use (i.e. warming up baby bottle, drinking tea, etc.). That is until the kettle stopped working as of August 2021, less than 1 year after purchase. The kettle is able to power on; however, when I click any of the temperature settings, the temperature setting blinks like normal but the heating element does not turn on. Essentially the electric kettle doesn’t heat up the water anymore. Furthermore, the rust had gotten worse prior to the unit failing. If I was to venture an educated guess, the temperature probe or the connected controls may have malfunctioned, possibly due to rust or water damage, resulting in the internal safety refusing to heat the water without the ability to measure the water temperature. A failure of this type is unacceptable. The warranty process is also very cumbersome and the customer is on the hook for the one way shipping to the warehouse for inspection before a new replacement unit is sent out.

excellent kettle
I had this kettle for two weeks. Works as promised. Was a little surprised that it takes a few seconds to hold the touch button to get the kettle going. But this seems like a good safety feature.
The kettle works fast, is beautiful, large, well constructed and hopefully will hold up well - unlike my last kettle that was a clear engineering disaster.
Would definitely recommend, use it daily multiple times. The kettle is expensive though I got it on sale. If it holds up, it will definitely be worth it. I also own Zwilling knives, and their kitchen scale (which I use all the time and love). Definitely recommend the company.

Love the multiple temps and thoughtful functions
This review is based on initial impressions and a couple of initial uses. First, I love that Zwilling thought to include a bottle warmer function. If I had known about that I would have bought this a lot sooner! Love the multiple temperature controls. It’s not exactly “cool touch” as it does get warm when water has boiled but certainly not enough to burn you, which was an issue for us before—our kitchen counter is crowded and we heat water multiple times a day so sometimes you have to move things around when you don’t realize the kettle is hot. So I love that feature. It’s also fairly aesthetically pleasing, which I certainly preferred over something clunky. Looking forward to using our kettle more.
