Its relative shallowness is ideally suited for a gratin of any vegetable; pasta with some sauce and a good layer of cheese on the top, and to bake a fillet of salmon or breast of chicken. The density of the clay keeps the heat consistent and even so food cooks as it should. And best of all, clean up isn't a bother. Once around with a sponge and into the dishwasher it goes. These ceramic oval baking dishes come in three sizes, 9 inches when you're cooking for 1 or 2 people; 11 inches for 2 people or a side dish for a few more, and 14.5 inches for an entree for 3-4 people. Staub ceramics are highly thermal shock resistant so you can take this from the fridge and put it directly into the oven with no worries. This is also a great size fro small sides and I even use it as a serving dish for green beans and asparagus.

With the ceramic, it is easy to clean, but it also does a great job of baking your dishes, freezing treats, and with it being ceramic, it’s very versatile with going from oven to table to fridge to dishwasher. Can this 11 inch dish be used in an air fryer oven?
