Quailty IssueFirstly, there are traces of wear and tear on the lid. It easily leads to the conclusion that it was used and returned.
Secondly, several breaches are obvious on the rim of the lid. They can cause rusty easily. It's a quality issue. I don't agree that it is "visual imperfection".
I loved the product and the products of Zwilling JA Henckels. But I felt dissapointed this time. I hope the company can improve the quality control for the online sales
I insist on getting back the purchasing price $107.7 and the cost for shipping back $33.5. I'm open to the option to recieve a brand new one in good condition.
Thank you!

love it!!I've had this pot for about 6 months now ... I absolutely love it! It does a wonderful job of retaining the heat, so I can add extra water or crushed tomatoes (or other ingredients) to the mixture during cooking without it affecting the cooking process already underway. The distribution of heat is perfect (no hot spots). Used in the oven, the lid design inside really does continually baste the food to keep it moist. Clean up is a breeze. And it is sooooo very pretty!! (I don't see any visual imperfections, so if it has any, I sure don't notice them)

PERFECTION!I was a bit nervous, thinking the "imperfections" might be problematic for my health such as rust, etc. per reviews, but mine did not have any imperfections on it. I use this at least once a week if not more often. Can't believe I got this at such an incredible price!

Got spammed by ZwillingI hate to deal with misleading online resources, and it is hard to believe I got spammed by Zwilling. First I have to enroll my email to get 15% off which I only get a link without any code to be applied, then with the Hassle Free mark showing everywhere including the product I bought, then I was being told I cannot return my item because I didn't read fine print. I could have bought my pot everywhere else on Amazon, Costco or Macy's, however, I fell in the trap. The customer service is firm and not helpful which made my purchase extremely unpleasant and inconvenient. I wouldn't trust this business again.

Imperfections?? I See None!!Amazing, amazing find…almost felt like I “stole” this Staub piece for the price I paid!! It was sold with “slight imperfections”, but after scouring over the pot and lid, both inside and out….well, you got me!! Can’t find a blemish!
This is my introduction into the world of Staub cooking. It took this great price to get started but I’ll be back for more pieces again.
I was getting tired of wasting money on “non-stick” cookware and decided it was time to buy my last set - a set that will follow me to my grave (hopefully not anytime soon)!! No better way than to start my collection with Staub!

THIS IS NOT Visual ImperfectinsI understand that there will be visual imperfections but the one I received is just so bad. I am very disappointed with this product and I think these imperfections will affect its functionality. I can see iron and I know it will rust. I insist on getting my money back and the cost of the return. I'm open to the option to receive a brand new one in fair condition.

Fabulous!Being a family of 2 I didn't think I needed this 7-Qt Cocotte, but the Labor Day sale price was just too good. I can't believe how useful this is! I genuinely love it in the matte black too. I have multiple smaller pieces in assorted beautiful colors and this complements beautifully. We cook on induction, and cast iron is the absolute best. I can't find any blemish on it to speak of. This is probably the 8th 'visual imperfection' piece I have purchased, and only received any blemish I would consider slightly annoying once. They are a great value.

Love it!Very minor imperfection. Took looking over several times to find it under the handle. Large and heavy well made pot. Highly recommend.
If I want to preheat the 7 qt to 400 deg F for braising, how long should I expect that to take and do I have to preheat in stages?
Asked by: Fern65
Thank you for your question! When preheating your Staub 7-qt Cocotte to 400°F, simply place the cocotte in a cold oven and allow it to come up to temperature along with the oven. This gradual heating ensures that the cast iron warms evenly and helps protect the enamel.
The time it takes will depend on your oven, but generally you can expect it to warm up in about the same amount of time it takes your oven to preheat. For best results, always allow the cocotte to heat gradually rather than placing it into an already very hot oven to avoid thermal shock.

i have a staub coquette with a number 22 inside the lid. also 6 1/2 inches.
what size is this pot - in quarts. i
i am looking at buying a 4qt and would like to know its corresponding lid numbers.
Asked by: plymouthed
The number 22 is the diameter in cm and, in this case, corresponds to the 2.75 qt. If you are looking for a 4 qt, this would be a #24 (24 cm) for the standard cocotte. Now, here is a wrinkle - Staub also makes a “shallow” 4 qt model. This “shallow” cocotte is actually built on the 26 cm model platform (5.5 qt) but only holds approximately 4 qts. The sides are just not as tall. I have several of the two models and find that each has its advantages. I like the shallow model for dishes such as mac and cheese where I want a larger surface to total volume area.
