Staub Cast Iron 4-qt Round Cocotte - Visual Imperfections - Cherry is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quailty Issue Firstly, there are traces of wear and tear on the lid. It easily leads to the conclusion that it was used and returned. Secondly, several breaches are obvious on the rim of the lid. They can cause rusty easily. It's a quality issue. I don't agree that it is "visual imperfection". I loved the product and the products of Zwilling JA Henckels. But I felt dissapointed this time. I hope the company can improve the quality control for the online sales I insist on getting back the purchasing price $107.7 and the cost for shipping back $33.5. I'm open to the option to recieve a brand new one in good condition. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it!! I've had this pot for about 6 months now ... I absolutely love it! It does a wonderful job of retaining the heat, so I can add extra water or crushed tomatoes (or other ingredients) to the mixture during cooking without it affecting the cooking process already underway. The distribution of heat is perfect (no hot spots). Used in the oven, the lid design inside really does continually baste the food to keep it moist. Clean up is a breeze. And it is sooooo very pretty!! (I don't see any visual imperfections, so if it has any, I sure don't notice them)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute in my tiny kitchen It is perfect for my small family. It does make a difference food taste wise, efficiency-saves gas and you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table without the need to use another dish. I also bought a staub cast iron trivet to protect my table from direct heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic French-Oven Style Cooking Loved this pot from the first time I used it. The recessed lid creates the oven effect; cooking evenly. Only draw back was the size. A little small when cooking for two; my husband missed the leftovers. It is now used for bread baking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It’s terrible... I know, it has visual imperfection, but It’s over visual imperfection. It can see iron, it is going to rusty and then expand even more rusty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought a dark blue one. The color is so beautiful, and it's not as heavy as I thought. It makes my cooking process more enjoyable.

i have a staub coquette with a number 22 inside the lid. also 6 1/2 inches. what size is this pot - in quarts. i i am looking at buying a 4qt and would like to know its corresponding lid numbers.

Asked by: plymouthed
The number 22 is the diameter in cm and, in this case, corresponds to the 2.75 qt. If you are looking for a 4 qt, this would be a #24 (24 cm) for the standard cocotte. Now, here is a wrinkle - Staub also makes a “shallow” 4 qt model. This “shallow” cocotte is actually built on the 26 cm model platform (5.5 qt) but only holds approximately 4 qts. The sides are just not as tall. I have several of the two models and find that each has its advantages. I like the shallow model for dishes such as mac and cheese where I want a larger surface to total volume area.

Are ALL the items on clearance refurbished ones?

Asked by: Rachel
No, it varies product by product. Some are factory seconds while some are simply discontinued styles. We do not sell any refurbished items. The Staub Cast Iron Visual Imperfection products are not refurbished, they are cosmetic blemishes that sometimes occur as part of the enameling process. None of the pieces are malformed in any way, any casting defects that would lead to this are caught before enameling and scrapped. Rather these are products that, after being enameled and fired, are found to have minor blemishes, such as pin holes in the enamel, minor chips, or uneven enameling. No raw metal is exposed and each item is fully functional. Any products with blemishes or other issues are always clearly labeled.
