Are these knives dishwasher safe? If not, are any zwilling knife sets dishwasher safe?

Asked by: Stace2223
Technically yes, these are dishwasher safe, and many of our knives are (there are a few notable exceptions - anything with wood, Miyabi knives, carbon knives). We always recommend hand washing, however. Dishwashers can knock knives around, resulting in chipped or dulled blades (and risking more fragile items in the dishwasher). Dishwashing detergent is also very, very harsh, and can degrade the steel. Under most conditions of use, soap and warm water is all that is needed to wash the knives, and be sure to dry thoroughly before putting them back in the block.
