Good set for the price
I recieved this set as a Christmas gift in 2008, so I have had it for almost 12 years.
For probably the first 8 years we used as directed hand washed, never put in dishwasher and I was very happy.
Then we or I got lazy and figured we had had it a long time It was less than $100 to replace and we started putting them in the dishwasher.
Not a good idea! Since then they have started to deteriorate and now need to be replaced. Moral to this story...properly care for them as instructed!
Overall I am more than happy and will definitely replace with probably the same set!

Good all around for basics.
They are sharp out of the box and have a variety of blades to accomplish a number of things. Only used for a couple months and have found durability to be adequate, no rust spots or loose blades. My only minor complaint is that all of these have a slight serrated edge, which is rather a pain when cleaning with a sponge or anything that can catch the serrated edge. It helps “catch” when cutting meat, bread, etc, but the listing doesn’t make it clear that most of the edges are serrated. Anyways, overall decent knife set for the price.

The Best!
I have this product and purchased it over 25 yrs ago . I am replacing it as for it has been put in dishwasher and one of the set fell and melted edge. No fault of the knives. Great knives still sharp as the first day but the butcher block is getting chipped and I want a new set . Since I use them daily having another set just means throwing out all the old knives that do not work and having ones that do .Great set of knives!!

Blades rusting
Received this knife set as a gift. Blades and top edge of blades started rusting within a couple of months. They are also not as sharp as advertised. First time owning henckel knives. I would not recommend.

Sharp-however
I love how sharp my new knives are however, we have learned that they must be dried off immediately or a little rust stains will show up between the serrated edges of the blades. Then they can be very tedious to clean. These knives were a gift, but I would recommend the brand just a higher level in quality.

Do the grips on the handles have latex in them?
The thermoplastic in the handles may contain a negligible amount of latex used during manufacturing, but it is so little that it's considered latex-free.

Can these knives be sharpened?
We do not recommend sharpening and do not professionally sharpen microserrated knives as sharpening devices will destroy the teeth on the blades that enable them to work properly.

I bought Henkels International EverEdge Plus ll 12 piece with knife block UPC 4 009839400797
What's your question? I just purchased 2 of the same sets at Canadian Tire, and they can't be located on the Canadian Henkel's website. I checked both boxes and they are minus one knife. We only get 11. So much for trying to get a decent Christmas present.
