Good for kitchen knives
Worked fine on thin bladed kitchen knives that were not very dull. I tried on heavier, thicker duller blades (like military style Ka-Bar and my Fiskers tool box knife) and decided it would take too long to get the results I wanted. I think it will be fine when used to maintain knives that are kept relatively sharp to begin with.

Henckels 2 Stage knife sharpener review
What I like about this product is it is very easy to use, simple instructions and produces immediate results if used properly.
What could be better, and it is minor, is the ability to sharpen the Henckel paring knife end to end. There is a slight curve in my paring knife at the base near the handle, so the design of the sharpener lends to sharpening primarily the middle part of the blade. Again, not a show stopper, but merely a recommended tweak in the design of the sharpener.
Overall, 4.5 stars for versatility and 5 stars for simplicity and functionality.

Razor sharp results
Love the way it feels in my hand love the control I have and receive with sharpening my knives couple strokes wipe the blade clean and I’m cutting paper I love the fact that I can keep it in my drawer if I need my honing knife couple swipes with that run blade through the sharpener and I’m back to being razor sharp with in minutes probably one of the best manual hand held Sharpeners I have

Great hand knife sharpener
It does exactly as it promises. Knives are super sharp, sliced thru a tomato without any effort. Even sharpened a “never needs sharpening” knife sharper than when that was purchased!

Easy to use and effective
The product is well made and works well. We invested in good knives but after years of use they had dulled quite a bit. We tried other sharpeners but this one worked better than any of the others we tried. In my opinion it works almost as well as having your knife professionally sharpened, so given that it’s way cheaper and faster/more convenient, I think this is an overall better value. If you’re on the fence, just buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

I was skeptical about buying a knife sharpener because I didn’t know much about sharpening knives and I didn’t want to mess up a nice knife with a poor sharpener. My dad studied at CIA and told me this was a good one and Henckels has a good reputation so I picked one up. Works amazing! I sharpened my roommates $20 chef knife and it made a huge difference! Very easy to use and safe.

Worked well and pretty intuitive
I’ve never sharpened a knife before so I was glad that this was easy to use. It sits very nicely on the countertop and I felt very in control. My knives didn’t get as sharp as I’d like using their recommended instructions but that may been due to using the wrong pressure (or really dull knives in the first place).
