Strawberry Daiquiri

INGREDIENTS

  • 600 g strawberries (frozen goods; frozen)
  • 2 stalks of lemongrass
  • 30 g cane sugar
  • 12 cl white rum
  • 6 cl bitter orange liqueur (e.g. Grand Marnier)
  • 60 ml lime juice
  • 60 ml strawberry syrup
  • 300 g ice cubes
  • 4 slices of lime

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Sort, wash and dry the strawberries. Set aside two nice little berries for the garnish, remove the stems from the rest. Remove the outer leaves from the lemongrass, wash the stalks and cut the thick, white part into rings.
  2. Add the ingredients to the blender in the following order: lemongrass, cane sugar, rum, bitter orange liqueur, lime juice, strawberry syrup, strawberries and ice cubes.
  3. Close the blender container and push the cocktail program.
  4. When the program ends, remove the lid, share the strawberry daiquiri among the cocktail glasses and serve each one garnished with half a strawberry and a slice of lime.

Top tip:

For a virgin strawberry daiquiri, i.e. an alcohol-free one, replace the rum and bitter orange liqueur with 200 ml of orange juice or lemonade.
