We Care – for Sustainable Choices and a Future Worth Living
At ZWILLING, we take responsibility – for people, for nature, and for generations to come. Under the motto We Care, we unite our sustainability efforts to make a real difference throughout our entire value chain: from thoughtful resource use and fair working conditions to robust products that inspire mindful consumption. For us, sustainability is more than a trend – it’s our promise for a future full of life.
Current Highlights
The new ZWILLING SPECTRUM premium knife sets fresh standards in sustainable product design. Forged from emission-reduced Green Circle steel, it boasts a CO₂ footprint that is 50 per cent lower than conventional blade steel.
STAUB has refreshed the packaging of its popular Cocottes to be even kinder to the environment. Now, undyed and uncoated cardboard is used instead of coloured cardboard – made from up to 80 per cent recycled paper and fully recyclable.
Every ZWILLING knife block newly introduced to the German market is crafted from FSC®-certified wood. Our aim: by 2030, every wood-based item in our range will carry the FSC® seal.
ZWILLING’s first participation in the CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) marks a key step in systematically recording and sharing climate data – building business partnerships on solid, transparent figures.

“Cooking brings people together around the world. For almost 300 years, ZWILLING has shaped this tradition with long-lasting quality products that enhance culinary experiences. From this heritage, we draw our commitment to creating meaningful value – economically, socially, and environmentally. With our We Care sustainability strategy, we embed this promise into our value chain. We champion fair working conditions and environmental standards across our supply chain, and we actively cut greenhouse gas emissions in our production. We are reducing the CO₂ footprint of our products and are dedicated to making all packaging resource-efficient and recyclable. In doing so, we help shape a future worth living – where conscious choices and the joy of cooking go hand in hand.”
