The magnet is strong enough but not too strong, that you can grab it with ease. The placement of the magnet allows you to pull the knives without touching the wall with the blade - avoid unsanitariness and damaging the walls.

It can hold a lot of knives on the bar, and it holds them up really well. The knives also aren’t prone to becoming magnetized either, which sometimes happens when keeping knives on magnet bars. It looks nice and modern with the black, and really accents the kitchen well.

Whether you don't have the counter space for a block or you prefer the clean look the mounted knife bar this is a great way to have easy access to your knives. The magnet is super strong so no worries about slipping off. This won't dull your blades and is a hygienic way to store them as well.

The design is industrial, no-frills, and appropriate to the task. The mounting system is simple: two detachable plastic tabs that hide the two required screws; you should not try to use sticky tape on this device because of the mass of steel it will be supporting.

I am moving and it's been a while since I installed one of these. How do I remove it from the wall? Do I have to pull it outwards towards my body?

I got mine off by putting a very small flathead screwdriver between the end of the bar and the black plastic ends and wedged it in. Then, I put a regular size screwdriver between the space and kept moving the end away from the bar. It just fell off the wall and left the 4 holes from the screws that were on the black ends. No other damage to the wall. (mine had no adhesive) Hope this helps someone else.

How do I get a replacement for one of the plastic covers? I seem to have lost one in moving and cannot mount my magnetic bar without it.

How can I order the end pieces holing the knife bar on the wall? Both broke on mine and the knives falling down almost killed my wife - no kidding since she is on blood thinners!!!
