Peel fruits and vegetables and create garnishes with the 3-inch paring knife, cleanly slice foods with a hard exterior and soft interior with the 5-inch serrated utility, and chop herbs, dice onions, and mince garlic with the 8-inch chef’s knife.
The self-sharpening technology boasts built-in ceramic honing wheels that automatically sharpen when knives are stored or removed. This set is completed with kitchen shears and is housed in a handsome 15-slot self-sharpening knife block.

Great starter set of knives
I purchased the Four Star 7 piece set for my new apartment. As a young professional in a big city who loves to cook but is often on the go, these are a great addition to my kitchen. They’re sharp and I love that I don’t need to worry about keeping them that sharp thanks to the self-sharpening block. And I love that the basic sizes, plus the scissors, are included as a great starter knife set. Looking forward to filling up the rest of the empty slots on the block.
The delivery was swift and the packaging is really well thought out as well for a safe unpacking.

great set to start a kitchen
My son in law was looking for a nice set of knives to learn on in the new house. I surprised the kids with this set. He loves that they stay sharp with the built in sharpening system, each spot is clearly identified, and there is room for the steak knives he bought. the only issues we had with this set is that the block is so deep, others have the back corner cut off but this one just needs more space than most. Good thing its a nice big kitchen! Also, the quality of the knives is awesome but I would expect nothing less of this amazing German brand.

I didn't know what sharp was until I got this set!
Beautiful set of VERY sharp knives given to my wife for Christmas. Take caution when handling & cleaning. Even the kitchen shears are sharp - cut through a turkey spine like it was butter. I ordered the 8pc stainless steel porterhouse Steak Knife set (39129-850) to go with this knife set. Had a little trouble getting all 8 of the steak knives to fit into the steak knife slots on the bottom front slots of the block. A slight adjustment with a skinny wood rasp on the 2 slots on the right of the block was all that was needed. Now all i need is to order the japaneese knife to complete this set - and will be a very appreciated anniversary gift.

Cuts like butter!
I just got these knives for Christmas and they are amazing!! The prep knife cut through my cucumbers and tomatoes like butter! My knives were so bad that the only way I could cut a tomato was by using a serrated knife because I couldn't get through the skin. Now, no problem! Super excited about the self sharpening block too because I never sharpened my knives, ok maybe that's why I couldnt cut through a tomato! I would always say, next time I'll do it. So now I dont have to remind myself! I'm very happy with my purchase!

Beyond all expectations
This self-sharpening block is phenomenal! Every piece included is durable, feels amazing in the hands and has an impeccable balance. The block is beautiful on the countertop as well! The *shing* sound as each piece is removed reminds one of how gorgeous this is and a luxury to use. The knives and shears are all very well sharpened; ready to use to slice through just about anything. We bought the Zwilling Pro 4.5-inch steak knives and the 7-inch Santoku to finish out the block. All are fantastic to use, and I'm glad we didn't go with the lesser competitor's brand.

Love the self sharpening feature
These knives are simply amazing for the price, the knife block itself is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. The self sharpening feature really works wonders and saves you time you would otherwise spend sharpening them yourself. The only thing I don’t like about the set is it doesn’t come with the santoku knife, but the block itself has a built in slot for it. So, if your OCD like me you’ll want to get the santoku knife so you don’t constantly stare at an incomplete set. Other than that minor gripe, the knives you do get here are all amazing and should suffice for most if not all your kitchen tasks.

Zwilling self-sharpening block
I absolutely love this knife set. Super sharp and easy to use. everything is perfect except the scissors holder. The shears do not fit in the black correctly. They wobble around and fall out very easily. I even retuned the set to the store and showed them.. all their sets were like this.

The open slot is for a Santoku 7” or 5” Knife. The built-in ceramic honing wheels will automatically sharpen your fine edge knives when they are stored or removed to ensure your Knives are always sharp.
