Awesome. i use it for individual custards and cheesecakes because they work so well in a bain marie. Crisp, Crumbles, Cobblers, just right. Brownies and individual cakes, beautiful. Evaluating its performance, I give it an A+. But what I really like to do is give these as gifts. I often break up a set, and pair a cocotte with my favorite salt, spice blend or olive oil and folks are pleasantly surprised! Great hostess gift, especially at the holidays, when everyone is giving wine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from short of stated capacity I was told by the CSR that these were 8 fl oz capacity. They are not. They are 4-5 tsp shy of that, and that is if you fill it to the absolute brim!!! In which case you could not put the lid on if you needed to. I have another brand that is actually 8oz with room for the lid and many of the same features. I like the other features, but it's annoying that they are smaller than I was told they are.

The red color is beautiful and lively. I find the porcelain-enamel finish well done. So far, I am happy that there have been no chips. I appreciate the many ways to utilize these, such as in the microwave, broiler, freezer, and oven up to 570 degrees F. These mini cocottes are easy to clean, as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, useful, and fun! These cocottes are so fun to use. I love the dark blue color and hope to get some more staub items to go with it. I recently used them to make creme brulee and they're great little snack cups. I have a picture of the dessert before I fired the top - you can see i have a set in white as well. These are also pretty durable. I was transporting them in the car and my carrying case containing the cocottes fell on the floor, making a pretty loud crash. After opening up the case and looking at them, there was no damage - chips or scuffs - on the cups or the lids. Whew!
