Durable cast iron

Cast iron is scratch-resistant, retains an enormous amount of heat and, like a pizza stone, releases it evenly. The result is a crispy base throughout and a perfectly browned finish.

Protective enamel coating

The inside of the pan is coated with a matt black enamel. This makes it easy to clean the pan after preparing pastry, pizza or barbeque dishes.

Practical design

The shallow cast pan with its extra-low rim also makes preparing and turning wafer-thin crêpes and pancakes child's play with the included accessories.

Reviews & Questions
Staub Cast Iron 28-cm Crepe Pan with Spreader and Spatula, black matte black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Crepes Purchased this pan because I wanted a traditional crepe pan for making crepes at catered events. I am a chef/caterer and often have crepes on the menu. Clients love when we make them in front of their guests, and this pan looks greats. The pan is induction capable, which works great with the hob we bring with us. Love the cast iron which maintains heat, and helps keep the crepes looking quite uniform. Don't have any problem with crepes sticking, and can get a nice thin crepe without worry. Glad I purchased this pan, and will be adding a few more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this crepe pan is the perfect size , shape and material! it stays at a more consistent temp than some of the less expensive crepe pans. I love the solidness of it , the comfortable grip on the handle (that does not get to hot to hold!) the spreader and turner are so great to have, in the past I've had to improvise with other kitchen tools. I store all the pieces together so I never have to look for a substitute tool. I highly recommend this pan if you like to prepare crepes, either savory or sweet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for crepes! I was looking for more pans to to make tortillas and realized this would do the trick; and boy did it. It held the heat so well that it's become the first pan I pull out when I am making tortillas, flatbread, pancakes, French toast, and of course, crepes. Also great for finishing crepes - butter melts and sugar caramelizes quickly. I love this pan. Not too heavy either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helps with constant temperature The crépe pan works well. It holds the heat steady from crepe to crepe. It is a bit heavy, so you really need the spreader to move the batter into a big enough circle to make a thin crepe. The spatula helps in freeing the crepe from the pan and turning it over (you do have to use a good bit of butter or oil--the pan is not non-stick and I had more than one crepe stick). I wish the spreader and spatula had been finished a bit smoother.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this pan but... This pan is amazing! My only issue is that it cracked! Hoping to connect with Staub to find out more about the warranty, because we love how great it is to use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from classic French Crepes I like to treat my family to crepes on occasional weekends. I have been using a regular nonsitck pan for a while which is good but my Fam surprised me with this traditional cast iron crepe pan. I looooove it. It is the perfect size and the even heating gives me perfect crepes every time. The handle is also so unique for the Staub line. Its not just a joy to work with but attractive hanging in my kitchen as well.

My crepe pan has been working perfectly for about a year and all of a sudden everything is sticking in the middle to the point that I've now ruined two batches of crepes. I've tried cleaning it and changing the heat. How can I reseason or fix the pan?

Asked by: HilsInMN
Try cleaning the pan with a paste of baking soda and vinegar. You can also put a thin layer of neutral oil and put in the oven for 10 min at 300F. When cool wipe off any oil left. If these suggestions don't work, please visit our warranty page at https://www.zwilling.com/us/warranty.html, you will find full instructions on how to go about resolving any warranty concerns that you may have. You can also email us at hello@zwillingus.com adding Bazaarvoice Question to the subject slot and any of our agents be happy to assist you.

Was this pan supposed to come with a recipe book. I think what I ended up was something another person returned. No packing material, no instructions, just the pan, paddle, and spatuala in the box.

Asked by: Frustrated10
This item does not include a recipe book, just the pieces that you received. Returns are opened, inspected, and only put back into stock in original packaging, so you would never receive something that someone returned unopened. Is the handle wooden? I’m confused because details say it is safe in a 500 degree oven, but if the handle is wooden, it can’t go in the oven, right?
