INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking spray
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup strawberry preserves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6–8 croissants, halved
  • Powdered sugar, for serving
  • Fresh strawberries, for serving

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and coat a Dutch oven or baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, strawberry preserves, and salt.
  3. Dip each croissant half in the egg mixture, then arrange them in the baking dish.
  4. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the croissants.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then let cool for 10 minutes to set.
  6. Serve with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries.
