Demeyere RocksThe quality of Demeyere cookware is hands-down the best. It has a thick construction which makes it perfect for browning and sauteing. The handles are wide and deep so it's easy to handle on the stovetop or pulling it in and out of the oven. I love that the handles are textured, it gives me a little better grip. One of the best features is that there are not rivets. Not only does this make keeping my pan perfectly clean, but it helps the handles stay cool because rivets would transfer heat.
The depth of this saute make it so versatile. Brown, braise and throw a roast in the oven. There's plenty of room to add some vegetables too!

Everyday PanThis has truly become my go to pan. Love the double handles which makes it easier
to lift especially going from cooktop to oven. Plenty of room with nice deep sides, perfect for everything from soup, stews, braises and roasts.
The pan is made with 5 layers of steel resulting in fast and even heating. Welded on handles, prevent food build up and debris. Easy clean up thanks to the Silvinox
treatment which takes impurities out of the steel and prevents even finger prints from
showing. Wish I knew about this line years ago. Spent a small fortune replacing other brands!

I love every Demeyere pot/pan that I own and this one is no exception. The construction is far superior to anything else on the market. The 5-ply with a thick aluminum core, heats quickly and distributes the heat evenly which means your sauces come out just the way you want, no hot spots to burn the bottom. I use this pan endlessly for sauces, and risottos, which come out beautifully every time. This line has so many extras that are normally not addressed. Pouring rims, stay cool handles and no rivets are all much appreciated.

Great For BraisingI love Staub, Demeyer, and Zwilling Aurora/Sensation pans. When I am able to cook in a hobby, sort of relaxed way, alone, I will almost always pull out the Staub pans. When I am very pressed for time or have less careful family members around (careless ruffians, when it comes to cooking and cleanup), I sometimes use the stainless more. So even though I had braiser type and 4 quart sizes covered in the Staub line, I wanted a 4 qt size covered stainless pot as well.
This 4 qt deep saute pan is perfect for my uses because the double handles make it a go-to pot for oven braises and many stove top dishes. I especially like to braise multiple "on sale" round tip roasts, where I individually brown two of them and then can double layer them for braising. The even browning is wonderful, deglazing is great, cleanup easy. Freezing it in portions turns home made comfort food into fast food at sale prices.
The lid on this saute pan also fits on Demeyer and Zwilling 9.5" fry pans as well as a generic stock pot and others. I admit that I wouldn't have initially even considered this pot, in view of my other similarly sized Staub pans, except that the price was just too appealing. I am so glad I investigated beyond the name "saute pan" because to me it is a braiser/multi-purpose pan.
I love this pan but I find this website information incomplete. I have found additional information on detailed dimensions, weight, etc, by going to Zwilling.de (German), translating key words, and using metric to imperial online calculators. I almost enjoy the challenge but realize it could be a pain for others. But I have seen and bought many pieces at great prices through this US site that I otherwise wouldn't have, based on the more complete information at the German site. For me, a lot of it centered on what would fit, height and width, in a Breville Pro toaster oven, and what would possibly be too heavy for my pitifully and uniquely weak oven racks in my main oven. There are many reasons for wanting detailed dimension and weight information, those are mine.

Deep saute or Dutch oven? What's in a name?No matter what you call this versatile pan, it is joy to cook in. This is a great size when cooking for a family of 4-6 people, or cooking for 1-2, with leftovers. This pan goes from stove to oven and back, seamlessly. Great for stews and curries, it is also a great pot for pot roast, roast chicken or Texas chili. It cooks evenly and well. The construction of the 5-ply metal body, 2 layers of stainless steel and 3 layers of aluminum, ensures the pan will heat quickly and respond quickly to temperature changes. The metal also stays flat on the bottom, no matter how hot you get the pan, so aromatics and spices cook evenly. No burnt bits.
One note: if you like the way pans look when they are new, hand wash. They will keep that shiny quality. But these are definitely dishwasher safe.

So many things I love about this saute pan! I love the fact that it is deep. Most saute pans I have owned were not this deep and can limit what you can do in them. I love that this works with my induction stove and is oven safe. It resists fingerprints really well and cooks to perfection with easy pour rims.

Great saute panThere is nothing on the market better than Demeyere when it comes to stainless steel cookware. These pieces are amazing. The 5 layers of steel and aluminum in the Industry collection are unparalleled to other 5 ply cookware; it heats up so quickly, and retains that heat well. Also there are no rivets, making for a much easier cleaning. With this saute style pan, it is perfect for making sauces, for one dish meals, browning and sauteing meats and veggies. With the Silvinox finish, these stainless steel pans do a fantastic job cleaning after use and looking brand new for years to come.
