INGREDIENTS

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 pineapple
  • 1/2 baguette
  • 4 tbsp rum
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. First, preheat the barbecue to 356°F.
  2. Peel the fruit.
  3. Remove the stalk from the pineapple and cut into bite-sized pieces. Cut the oranges into eighths and the bananas into 6 slices. Transfer the chopped fruit to a bowl.
  4. Mix the rum and 2 tbsp of the sugar, cover the fruit and marinade for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Cut the baguette into 12 slices and brush with the melted butter. Turn in the remaining sugar.
  6. Thread bread and marinated fruit alternately onto the skewers.
  7. Cook on the barbecue until lightly browned. Serve immediately.
