Savoury and sweet Easter canapés for Easter brunch

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g cream cheese natural
  • 1 lemon, untreated
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • About 1-2 tsp honey and 20 g finely chopped walnuts for the sweet spread.
  • 2-3 tbsp freshly chopped herbs such as cress, chives, parsley, dill etc. as well as 1 tbsp olive oil for the herb cream cheese.
  • About 1/2 tsp each paprika powder & chayenne pepper and 1 finely chopped spring onion for the spicy version.
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Bread & toppings:
  • 9-10 large slices of whole grain, black bread or brown bread
  • Various raw vegetables such as radishes, tomatoes, avocados, peppers, spring leeks etc.
  • Fresh fruit such as various soft fruits, bananas, kiwi etc.
  • Fresh herbs such ascress, chives, dill, basil or parsley to decorate
  • Optional: other toppings such as boiled eggs, sausages, sausages or various cheese cold cuts, olives etc.

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. First, the cream cheese is mixed with some freshly squeezed lemon juice, some lemon zest and mustard. Divide the cream cheese into three bowls and season with the other ingredients. Season the herb and spicy spread with salt and pepper.
