PREP TIME

INGREDIENTS

  • 20 g rocket
  • ½ small yellow and red pepper each
  • 1 small carrot
  • 30 g cucumber
  • 2 slices of square wholemeal bread
  • 30 g cream cheese
  • 2 slices of cheese or sausage
  • 2 sultanas

AlSO

  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 ZWILLING TWINNY children's knife

Preparation

  1. Wash the rocket, shake it dry or let it drain well in a sieve. Clean the peppers, wash them, cut them into quarters using the ZWILLING TWINNY children's knife, remove the seeds and cut them into thin strips. Clean the carrot and peel it. Cut off two slices for the claws and one slice for the beak. Carefully separate small triangles from the claw slices. Cut off a third of the beak slice to create an elongated curve. Wash the cucumber and cut off 2 slices for the eyes. You can cut the rest of the vegetables into small pieces for snacking.
  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on both slices of bread, but leave a little bit for the eyes and beak to stick to. Cover one slice of bread with some rocket leaves, cheese or sausage and a few strips of pepper. Cover everything with the second slice of bread.
  3. Cut two narrow triangles of the same size off the sides of the sandwich to make wings. Spread some of the remaining cream cheese on the cucumbers and sultanas and "stick" them to the bread as eyes. Do the same with the carrot beak.
  4. Eat the owl sandwich directly with the rest of the raw vegetables or put it in a box, e.g. the ZWILLING FRESH & SAVE lunch box, and take it with you.

Tip

If you don't like something, you can change the topping.
