Tomato Soup With Gin Topping This delicious soup has a fresh and fruity taste, with a delicate sour flavourand is aromatic with a creamy consistency. Simply perfect with the gin topping!

For the tomato soup

  • 4 vine tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 500 g tinned peeled tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp. bianco balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. tomato purée
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • Salt, pepper

For the gin topping

  • 2 tbsp. gin
  • 6 tsp. crème fraîche
  • 6 basil leafs


  1. Weigh and measure all the ingredients, prepare them and place them ready.
  2. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalks and cut into quarters. Peel and halve the onion and garlic.
  3. Add the ingredients to the blender jar in the following order: peeled tomatoes, vine tomatoes, cream, onion, garlic, vinegar, tomato purée, oregano, sugar. Close the blender jar with the lid.
  4. Select the Hot soup program and press the button to run the program.
  5. For the gin topping, mix the gin with the crème fraîche. Once the blending is finished, remove the lid and season to taste.
  6. Dress the tomato soup, garnish with the gin topping and basil.


This recipe can also be made with fresh tomatoes during the tomato season. Replace the relevant quantity of tinned tomatoes with fresh tomatoes.
