Description
A design piece for daily use: The premium kettle in modern ZWILLING design with heat insulation. The dual-wall body also keeps heat inside the 1850 watt kettle longer while keeping the outside cool to the touch. Moreover, the lid opens to a maximum of 70 degrees to prevent direct contact with hot steam. The seamless, 1.5 l stainless steel container is also extremely easy to clean and the built-in limescale filter – also partially made with stainless steel – ensures better flavour. The snug-fit filter also seals the spout when the lid is closed, thereby keeping spillage to an absolute minimum even when the kettle is accidentally knocked. An additional safety feature is the built-in dry boil and overheating protection that automatically switches off the kettle to prevent damage to the heating element. Removing the kettle from the docking station also automatically switches it off. The docking station with cord wrap also facilitates easy storage.

Defective item - return problems
My husband bought me this kettle a few weeks ago. When I opened the kettle the morning after it arrived, I noticed a small rust patch inside. I have been trying to contact Zwilling in order to return this item for the past week, but - despite calling them and leaving numerous messages as well as sending them emails - I have not yet received any response. Before purchasing this item, I read a review from a customer who - like me - noticed a rust patch in their kettle soon after purchasing it. I wish I hadn't dismissed this review. Clearly it is a mistake to assume that paying this price for a kettle will ensure either a high quality product or acceptable customer service.

Sleek design; power button is an issue
The design is sleek and pleasing, and it is cool to the touch even when the liquid inside is hot.
The only negative - significant - is the power button. I have to press down very firmly and wiggle my finger back and forth repeatedly to turn it on. Not an issue now that I know, but someone unfamiliar with it (other family members) would assume it doesn't work.
I contacted Zwilling the day I received it as I assumed it was a defect. They asked me to send a video, which I did, but then the follow up was a request to ship it back to them with a potential 6-8 week delay to receive a new product. Too much hassle, and from other reviews it appears this power button issue is a design flaw with the product.

Super disappointing
I have only had this kettle for a few months and it has rust marks on the inside. It also seems like the sensor for the water temperature is not that great because it'll keep boiling for a while before it beeps and it'll sputter when I pour into the mug from around the spout, I've burned my hands a couple of times from this. Over all not worth the price at alll and I am super disappointed in the quality of the kettle. It does not live up to the zwilling name at all.

Rusted after on week use!
I've got the item and used it so gently. Emptied the water after each use BUT it got rust inside the kettle after only one week.

Looks sleek but UX feels lacking
I would appreciate Celsius markings. I'm disappointed after seeing them in video advertising (UK model?)
The kettle is 1500W not 1850W as listed on the Zwilling online storefront but it heats quickly.
It's a bit annoying to press and hold the wake button to then select temperature. I would prefer one touch operation or perhaps have attaching the kettle to the base wake the base automatically.
Quite loud snap when closing the lid
The matte black styling was my main driver to buy this kettle. I wish the lid, handle and base also had matte black accents rather than gloss black.

Disappointed with quality from
The lid rusted after 2 months
The lid has developed rust in multiple spots after 2 months of gentle use. I did dry the lid and container after each use. Very disappointed!

Quiet, efficient, and pretty on my counter
This kettle is a step up from my last kettle, which was incredibly loud. The double-walled construction also means that water cools down more slowly and the outside stays fairly cool. The buttons are a bit of a learning curve and the selected program is indicated by being just a little bit brighter than the other buttons, so it's not incredibly obvious. I also wish that the temperatures were in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, but I knew that before buying. I hadn't realized that there is no water level indicator prior to purchase, so if it's important to you, keep that in mind.

Great looking and functional
We’ve just received our new kettle and it feels very well made. We had some issues turning it on but learned you have to press the button and hold to have it on. It boils water quickly and I can now have my beverages at the right temperature instead of boiling hot and leaving but to cool. I do wish there was a clear window to see the water fill line and I’ve read a few reviews saying the inside of the kettle can rust so we’re ensuring we empty the kettle every time and leave the lid on so water can evaporate before closing lid. Great kettle so far! Super quiet and outside is only slightly warm to the touch!

I bought this kettle 1.5 weeks ago and it now won’t turn on. I’ve wiped with lint free cloth on bottom of kettle, base unit top and bottom but nothing. Sometimes it will beep once then turn off. What troubleshooting can I do before returning for refund

Can the temperature settings be switched to Celsius degrees? We don’t use Fahrenheits in Canada (and in a lot of countries in the world!) Thank you for your answer.
