Defective item - return problems
My husband bought me this kettle a few weeks ago. When I opened the kettle the morning after it arrived, I noticed a small rust patch inside. I have been trying to contact Zwilling in order to return this item for the past week, but - despite calling them and leaving numerous messages as well as sending them emails - I have not yet received any response. Before purchasing this item, I read a review from a customer who - like me - noticed a rust patch in their kettle soon after purchasing it. I wish I hadn't dismissed this review. Clearly it is a mistake to assume that paying this price for a kettle will ensure either a high quality product or acceptable customer service.

Sleek design; power button is an issue
The design is sleek and pleasing, and it is cool to the touch even when the liquid inside is hot.
The only negative - significant - is the power button. I have to press down very firmly and wiggle my finger back and forth repeatedly to turn it on. Not an issue now that I know, but someone unfamiliar with it (other family members) would assume it doesn't work.
I contacted Zwilling the day I received it as I assumed it was a defect. They asked me to send a video, which I did, but then the follow up was a request to ship it back to them with a potential 6-8 week delay to receive a new product. Too much hassle, and from other reviews it appears this power button issue is a design flaw with the product.

Looks sleek but UX feels lacking
I would appreciate Celsius markings. I'm disappointed after seeing them in video advertising (UK model?)
The kettle is 1500W not 1850W as listed on the Zwilling online storefront but it heats quickly.
It's a bit annoying to press and hold the wake button to then select temperature. I would prefer one touch operation or perhaps have attaching the kettle to the base wake the base automatically.
Quite loud snap when closing the lid
The matte black styling was my main driver to buy this kettle. I wish the lid, handle and base also had matte black accents rather than gloss black.

Rusted after on week use!
I've got the item and used it so gently. Emptied the water after each use BUT it got rust inside the kettle after only one week.

Super disappointing
I have only had this kettle for a few months and it has rust marks on the inside. It also seems like the sensor for the water temperature is not that great because it'll keep boiling for a while before it beeps and it'll sputter when I pour into the mug from around the spout, I've burned my hands a couple of times from this. Over all not worth the price at alll and I am super disappointed in the quality of the kettle. It does not live up to the zwilling name at all.

Three Rusty Kettles!
I found rusting on the initial kettle near the lid hinge after a few weeks. For a replacement, I had to send it by courier at my cost. Second kettle arrived after three months; developed same issue, so sent it back at my cost. Another three month wait for a replacement, which has the same issue. I am going to recycle it. Total cost over $300, no kettle, potential water contamination with rusted metal used under lid, and lost faith in Zwilling appliances.

Safety Concern with Bottle Function
Purchased this kettle to replace a great quality multi-temp I already had expressly for the baby bottle function for my newborn. Several times now the water came out dangerously hot. This happens at random. Contacted Zwilling for warranty support and was advised to either travel 2+ hours to my nearest Zwilling store location or ship it back and wait for up to 12 weeks. This effectively renders a $250 kettle useless as I would need to buy a replacement to use in the meantime or find the time to spend an entire day driving to their location with a newborn. Unbelievable response to a major safety concern.

Disappointed with quality from
The lid rusted after 2 months
The lid has developed rust in multiple spots after 2 months of gentle use. I did dry the lid and container after each use. Very disappointed!
