Description
French kings are not generally known for their generosity, but there are a few notable exceptions. One is “good king Henry IV”, who famously said that in his kingdom, every laborer shall have a chicken in his pot on a Sunday – creating the French national dish poule au pot.
Fittingly, Cocotte means little hen, and the bright yellow 28 cm version is the perfect vessel to cook a whole chicken with lots of vegetables in it. The enameled cast iron creates a micro-grill structure for delicious roasting aromas and the Aroma Rain lid makes sure all the moisture is dropped back on the ingredients to keep them succulent and create a rich sauce. Love this size
I have the 5.5-qt cocotte which I also love, but I found myself wanting something smaller for everyday use. I am SO happy with this 4-qt size! This size is much more versatile and also feels significantly lighter than the 5.5-qt (perfect for my weak arms). Perfect for a family of 2-4 people! I am very satisfied with my purchase, and the white truffle is such a beautiful, rustic off-white colour.

My First Cocotte
I started with this la cocotte like 2 weeks ago (January 2022) and fast forward, I owned 2 already! I am going to get another one for this month February :) Hope that helps that these cast irons are wonderful to cook in. I ditched my "high end" rice cooker/pressure cooker to cook rice in this la cocotte. Its such a joy to cook and pretty to look at. Excellent quality. Love Staub a lot!!!!

What a great discovery
This is our first experience with a Staub product so we are pleased to have discovered their products. It has the feel of a solid piece of kitchen utensil. It is not only a fine piece to display on the dinning room table but functionally it is proving to be easy to use and care for with proper maintenance. We have only used it for a few meals so far but we are so impressed with it that we are looking interested in finding what other cast iron utensils they make that enhance home cooking experience.

Great staub la cocote!!
This is my first Staub La cocotte that I've been wanting to buy for a long time. I've heard from many friends that this is a must buy, now I'm convinced after received it. it heats up the food really quick but not losing its flavour, instead it makes food taste even better! I cooked beef stew, after just merely 40 minutes simmer, the beef tastes so tender. This wonderful pot will make me wanting to cook everyday!!

Essential
I bought my cocotte initially for making stock, but quickly expanded to it becoming one of my go-to pots. It holds the heat, can handle acidic sauces and is great for things on slow simmer. Lid has good weight and seals reliably. Picking this in matte black is a great choice as it hides most of the carbon marks you’d otherwise see with coloured enamel models. Well worth the investment.

My first Staub and loving it. It's so beautiful and great quality.
I thought it might be a bit small, but surprised that I can make such huge batches of soups and stews without overflowing the pot.
But most important is that my whole family feels the difference in the taste and flavour of the food!

Christmas Gift for myself
Just got my first Staub, it is 24cm 3.8 L. I spent a lot of time to research the best size for a small family. I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about Staub but I was worried that it is too heavy. My first impression of Staub is that it is heavy but it’s quality is also superb. I have also ordered a piggy knob which will add a lot of fun for kitchenscape:))

Not just a pretty pot..
While this is a gorgeous Dutch oven, it also performs exceptionally well too. There’s no comparison between my Staub and my old PC brand. Looking forward to using this for years to come!
PS if you can find one with a visual imperfection you can save a buck, mine was barely noticeable and would not impact the performance

Good experience
When I placed an order for this cocotte，I received an email saying that the warehouse was out of stock and the delivery time was uncertain. But I was pleasantly surprised when I received the product within two weeks. Btw, Oxtail soup is delicious making by this cocotte. Highly recommend!!!!

Superb quality
This cast iron cocotte is the perfect size to make bread, soup etc.. for a small family. The craftsmanship is beautiful and it will last a long time. I don't find it too heavy in comparison to Le Creuset, these are the only contenders for cast iron cookware only Staub didn't break our bank.

Deep taste and rich taste of food.
when I cook using this pot my food are more flavour and deep taste. I think it's because the thermal conductivity is high. The design is pretty and strong, so I can use it for a long time. It is heavy than other pot which I have, but the advantage is that it covers this well.

The little red staub
I love this pot. You can make pretty much anything in it and it’s so durable! The red glaze on it really makes it stand out and you can even serve food in it because it’s a stand alone piece. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a long lasting cast iron pot.

This baby has such fantastic heat distribution and responsiveness to temperature chances. Its so easy to clean and just such a joy to cook with. I got this 3. 75L cocotte as a gift and will most likely buy myself a larger one soon for more everyday use.

Love the colour
This is my second round cocotte of this size. It's a gift for my daughter who chose the colour. There was a defect on the first eucalyptus cocotte I got but Zwilling made it an easy process to return the defective one and get a replacement.

Amazing for Two!

Beautiful pot!
Both my mom and I fell in love with this pot instantly. The Bordeaux color is so elegant. The 3.8L size is perfect for 1-2 people and not too heavy to handle. The pot is shallower than expected though.

Disappointed with pot lid knob
We have had our pot two years and the pot lid knob screw is stripped which renders the lid pretty well unusable unless it is left to completely cool before lifting from the edges.
