The 28 cm multifunctional roasting pan from Staub comes with a lid featuring Staub’s unique 'Chistera drop structure'. The structure on the inside of the lid causes condensation to evenly drip back onto the cooking food ensuring that all the ingredients remain moist, aromatic and juicy. There is not need to frequently add water or other liquids when using this roasting pan. The multifunctional roasting pan is made of cast iron which makes it ideal for slow and gentle braising. Cast iron retains and distributes heat evenly ensuring exceptional cooking results. It is also very robust, scratch-resistant and hence very popular with renowned professional chefs. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Service I ordered this on November 26 with a Blacj Friday Sale. On November 29th, I received an email saying my order would be “slightly delayed”. It’s now December 29th, and apparently this item is not even in stock and has no delivery date in sight. I’ve emailed Zwilling three times and have received no reply. Today, I spoke with someone on the phone, and they were not able to give me an estimate of when it will be back in stock. Furthermore, the item is on a greater sale now for Boxing Day, and they were unwilling to match the price. Why are items that are not even in stock going on deep discount?! This is a horrible company, with even worse service and I wouldn’t recommend giving them your money. Just terrrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A versatile Saute pan for small family This pan has beautiful color and is so versatile for my small family, I use it for everything except saute because I have another bigger saute pan. This pan makes perfect sunny side up eggs, scramble eggs, it cooks rice, can be used for hot pot, stew, steaming, stir fry . This is the perfect size to serve on from oven/cook top to the table directly. I personally find Staub cast iron is the best friend of electric glass top, the super flat base heat up quicker than anything I have tried so far, and when you turn off your cook top, the cast iron keep working , not every cast iron though, I used some cheaper cast iron enamel cast iron cookware before, they can't make the bottom as flat, thus the heating up is a lot slower and more energy is wasted. I accidentally burned this pan a few times and it didn't seem to cause and damage, this pan is slowly became not-stick, but I would not expect it to perform as good as a pure cast iron or carbon steel pen, but this is much easier to maintain and you can cock acidic food in it. I have a few Staub, this is my new favor, I am very surprised nobody has written a review yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prized possession Initially I wasn’t sure I could justify the price, but I quickly changed my mind after using it just once. This braiser helped transform how I cook. Renders any cut into a succulent meal and is low maintenance to clean. As with the Cocotte, it can handle acids just fine. Mine stays on my stove now because it gets used daily. If I had to, this one piece could replace every other pot and pan in my pantry. A highly recommended investment in your craft.
