IT TAKES A VILLAGE
We have been based in Rivarolo Mantovano since 1889. It has only 2,540 residents but is well known. Our famous BALLARINI products have been manufactured in this little northern Italian village in the shadow of its gate ever since 1889. So when we had to come up with a brand logo, there was no doubt what it would be.
1889
It all began in 1889 when Paolo Ballarini founded the company "Ballarini Paolo e Figli S.p.A." in the small village of Rivarolo Mantovano.
1931
The BALLARINI product range comprised 200 items including cookware, pots and other utensils.
Early 1900s
Paolo Ballarini handed over the management of the company to his son Angelo. Under the new management, the company introduced further products including, among others, Neapolitan-type coffee pots, frying pans, graters, footwarmers, bedwarmers and bathtubs.
1967
BALLARINI manufactured nonstick cookware for the first time. Truly innovative at the time, this cookware is still displayed in the company museum today.
1973
The first plant for applying nonstick coatings came into operation. Thanks to this expansion in capacity, it was now possible for BALLARINI to launch its products on international markets.
Late 1970s
The fourth generation took over the management of the company.
1980
In the 80s, hairstyles expanded and so did our manufacturing facility – with a plant for coating the external surfaces of pans. This made it possible for BALLARINI to manufacture very individualized products with different strengths of materials, colors and coatings.
1996
BALLARINI expanded its manufacturing facility with an additional high-tech plant for the production of vitreous enamel. This is a top-quality, exceptionally hard, resilient and durable coating material for the exterior surface of pans which is in high demand in Germany and France.
2004
Thermopoint launch: This innovative technology offers an energy-saving method for optimal frying results. Thanks to the integrated Thermopoint on the handle, users can quickly and easily recognize the right moment for putting food into the pan.
2015
BALLARINI became part of the ZWILLING Group which is synonymous with international growth, entrepreneurial innovation and expertise in modern kitchen premium consumer goods.
